Love this coat but had defects
I ordered this coat late last fall. I ordered a 2X but usually wear a smaller size;; however I went by their sizing chart and it put me in a 2X. I decided to get this size as I wanted to layer with it. I live in a very cold, snowy and windy climate. The first coat I ordered had several defects. The fur on hood snaps on and for some reason the last snap kept coming off the hood. No big deal. I was just going to superglue it. The sleeves have elastic on the inside and the right sleeve kept coming out when I removed the coat. The worst defect was the thin lining inside the coat ripped down the back on the seam. I sent the coat back for a replacement as I really liked the coat and was hoping I just got a bad one. The second coat was great. No problem with fur on hood, no right sleeve coming out. First, the zipper is a really large, extremely sturdy zipper. It worked wonderful and I go in and out a lot and it stood the test of time. The hood is amazing. Instead of being too big and coming off in strong winds, you zip the coat all the way up and it comes up to your chin. There is a couple of inches of material with two snaps and once the coat is zipped up and you use the two snaps it engulfs your head and even the strongest wind will not make the hood come off. I loved this feature. There are many pockets to this coat. The fit was loose but not too loose. Perfect for layering underneath. The coat comes down to knee length and has a flattering A line shape that goes in a bit at the waist. The problem I had was the coat ripped inside on the same back left seam. The inner lining that rips is very thin but the coat itself has some heft to it with the insulation inside this thin layer that rips. At the time I was wearing a 1X. I went by their sizing chart and it put me in a 2X. It was loose but not too loose. It was not snug enough to rip even when bending over. By the end of the season, there were several tears on the inside lining. It’s really a shame that both coats had this defect. I’m giving it 3 stars for this reason. If this defect in the lining didn’t happen, I would easily give this coat 5 stars as it fits great, the zipper is sturdy, I loved the fact that the coat zipped up near your chin and that the additional two snaps made the hood fit snugly. It was nice and warm and we have really cold and windy conditions. I was into the second month of owning it when it ripped inside so it was too late to return it. I really loved this coat but several months in, I had 3 tears on the inside lining so will need to buy another winter coat this season. I have not seen another coat that has this great hood feature. It’s a shame that this lining ripped but the heavy insulation never came out so that was a plus. Just very disappointed that this is a defect in both coats I ordered.

Great pockets!
I'm not tall so this coat hits a little below my knees which is great in cold, windy weather. The fit is good. The many pockets - inner and outer - make a purse unnecessary for quick trips out. My only concern is that it is machine washable, but cannot go in the dryer.

You may to purchase a size up than your regular size.
Purchased coat for my mother. Ordered large. Sent back for extra large as it was a little too snug for her. The look and design of the coat is nice. Did return and reorders in extra large.

Get it! 😉
I love my coat, and boy does it keep me warm. This will be my second winter, and it's holding up excellent. Zipper is awesome, No holes, and as I said incredibly warm. I gained weight due to covid,🥴 and it still fits. I Purchased a 1x, and was a size14 with room, now I'm a 16, so I filled in that extra room,🤦🏾♀️ and now its a little snag, but I can still zip it. So get your true size, but if you like your coat just right you can go down a size. I'm 5 "6 BTW I would definitely recommend this coat if you stay in a state with harsh Winters. But lately this coat is even too warm for Chicago Winters. 🤯 I love the color, I love all the pockets, its a beautiful coat, the only thing I had to fix was the hood. I didn't care for the snap fur, it would always unsnap from the hood, so what I did is sew the fur down, that way the fur would stay on. I'll never wanna wear the coat without the fur anyway, so why not sew it down lol. 🤷🏾♀️ When I'm ready to wash it or send it to the cleaners I'll have to remove the entire hood as the hood is detachable. This coat is better than my previous name brand coats. plan on purchasing another color, can't beat the price for such a well made, and warm coat. 😊Update;11/22 I ended up washing the coat and the cotton shifted more in certain places, but its not too bad. I DON'T recommend machine washing this coat. You'll probably have to spot clean by hand, I'm not even sure if the cleaners is okay, Other than that it's still holding up great.👍🏾

Great value, size 3x fits 5’ 8” U.S. dress/top size 18 to 22.
Size 3x coat arrived on the expected date, well packaged, kept dry but not deformed folded in a clear plastic bag with the plastic mailer envelope around it. Beautiful rich shade of red. Sleeves fit long arms, allow ease of movement, and have light-weight liners at wrists to retard wind. Zipper is double-ended and works well, allowing the coat to be opened at the bottom enough to make driving more comfortable/less bulky. The hood is a good size, large enough that hair is not mussed, could wear a knit cap beneath it. The snaps attaching the faux fur to the hood seemed loose, but it’s too soon to know if that will be a problem. At 5’ 8”, the length is upper calf. Plenty of room in girth, easy to bend without the coat moving much. For a long torso, the coat feels a bit short; the inside breast pocket is about 3 inches higher than ideal but still useful and large enough for a medium-sized cellphone or soft eyeglass case. In blizzard mode with the zipper at its highest point and the neck guard extended and snapped, the fit is quite tight, but this may loosen with wear. With the coat unzipped, the perfectly sized cloth loops easily fit over the buttons to hold the coat nearly closed, easy on/easy off, and no hassle for arthritic hands with compromised grip strength. Coat is likely to fit those who usually wear U.S. size 2x, size 18 to 22, over 5’ 6”, bust up to 50 inches or so without room for a bulky jumper or a blazer underneath, but the coat is so warm that layering is probably unnecessary much of the time (in outdoor temperature around 30 degrees Fahrenheit, it felt nearly too warm during a short walk). Overall, I’m very pleased with this coat, finding it to be more roomy, attractive, and functional than size 3x similar coats by London Fog and similar brands. Thanks to all who posted detailed reviews on this coat. You helped me to find a coat that is a great value at this price.
