’ve been using the Royal Oils shampoo for a few weeks now and overall, I’m impressed. The scent is rich and luxurious, kind of like a subtle coconut-meets-spa vibe — not overpowering, just really fresh and pleasant. It lathers up beautifully, even with a small amount, and spreads through the hair easily.It does a great job of relieving itchiness and leaving my scalp feeling clean and refreshed. My dandruff significantly improved after the first few washes. That said, the effects don’t last forever — after about five days, I noticed flakes starting to come back, so it’s definitely a shampoo you’ll want to use consistently, maybe every few days, to keep things in check.My hair feels softer and healthier, not stripped or dried out, which I appreciate from a dandruff-focused shampoo. It’s definitely a step above the basic formulas. Would’ve been 5 stars if the relief lasted a bit longer, but still a great product.

I have had scalp issues for years and I decided to give this a go because my current shampoo was too drying. The only product I’ve found that was effective for itchy irritated scalp was Nizoral, and that too is also on the drying side. I tried this on a whim because it had an interesting ingredient list and was inexpensive. I am so impressed I may even try the other products in the line. It’s not overly drying like most scalp care products but still lathers and cleans your hair nicely despite being sulfate free. Your hair is hydrated and shiny afterwards and your scalp is flake-free and doesn’t feel tight. The scent is also very subtle, unlike other Head and Shoulder products that smell like dish soap. I really like this and will continue to use it, it is 100% worth it, especially for something so inexpensive.

So my husband had been struggling with insane dandruff when I met him. He was using head and shoulders clinical strength shampoo the orange one and it was NOT effective. Using it but could still make it snow 4 inches (gross I know). Moving forward I tried the brigeo brand and they worked for like two weeks and then the dandruff came back 😳 so I found this gem. He began using it and has never turned back. His hair is shiny, His scalp health is phenomenal, smells so good and actually works for a great price. Royal oils for the win. Scent is not over powering and has a neutral color that doesn’t leave weird looking soap scum on your shower.

I really disliked the scent of this—it’s overpowering and musky. Even after washing my hair multiple times with unscented shampoo (and changing my bedding each time), my hair still smells like it. I wouldn’t recommend this for anyone sensitive to scents or living with someone who is. On top of that, my skin had a stronger reaction than it ever has with any of the hundreds of shampoos I’ve tried over the years. Normally, it’s just my scalp and neck that react, but this also made my cheeks itch like crazy. That said, while it didn’t seem to help much with dandruff, it didn’t leave my hair feeling dry like some other dandruff shampoos do.
