I have used many different types over the years and the quality of most of the ones on line is terrible. The quality of these is outstanding. The threads are tight so can be precise with the tension. They don’t unwind like some and they brilliantly manufactured. I would strongly recommend if you are using for vines, climbing plants or wisteria for example. Buy good wire to go with them and you will not be disappointed! I have only just put them on the wall and we have an autumn and winter of weather punishment to come so I cannot comment yet on how they will last “in the wild” but as a first look I am well impressed.

A bit flimsy
I bought some from Wickes (about £1.80 each) and they were far better than these as the bolt doesn't seem as tight in the socket. For your reference you can get much bigger M6 bolt versions for 89p from toolstation (when they're in stock). So I bought these to save a bit of money but maybe they'll work, maybe they won't. They seem up to the job.

Bought for tensioning wire support for a clematis. Not yet used but I'm impressed by the quality and valuator money.

Decent quality Stainless Steel
The turnbuckles were for a wired cordon frame and do the job well. They are a good size for 2-3mm cable and easy to use. Not the greatest finish but at the price what was I expecting! I'd buy them again.
