Very Pleasantly Surprised!
I'm a pretty avid reader of motivational business material, so I've seen my share of quote books. Some claim they will change your life in 365 days using the same tired quotes that you've seen a hundred times before. Gimme a break. This book makes no such claims, yet ironically, it probably stands a better chance to change your life if you take these quotes to heart. Many of them are quite profound and apply to much broader areas of life than simply your office or career. Lots of diverse people cited, including many great leaders whom I've not seen quoted much and have always wondered why. Even when the usual suspects are quoted, less common quotes are given.I'd definitely recommend this book. Not only is this the best quote book I have read, it's probably one of the best books I have read on the subject of leadership. That's a big claim, but with so much distilled wisdom, I feel compelled to make it.

A treasure trove of wisdom...
It's so easy to get caught up in our own life experiences. Little annoyances can occupy our mind and sap us of our energy. That's where the power of this book comes in. By reading these ideas from leaders from both present and past, it helps put life's little trifles in perspective. When you take in this kind of wisdom it can profoundly shift how you perceive your own challenges and realize, "Hey, this isn't such a big deal." And then you hear the wise words of Gandhi or Martin Luther King and realize that if they had the strength to lead and inspire under their circumstances, maybe you can take on that attitude, too.I wish every single business manager and government official was required to read this -- we'd have a nation inspired by fearless, purpose-driven leadership. And wouldn't that be amazing?

Sure, why not?
If you get the chance to read this for free on your eReader, this book is actually rather interesting. It contains several interesting quotes with the theme "leadership". I do have a problem with books that contain only quotes because there are usually so many sources and references that the authors themselves end up getting lost and putting the same quote twice, which did happen with this one. While I do think that there may be books that are more insightful than this book, if you're craving for a quick inspirational reading, it might be worth checking this one out.

Concentrated Goodness.
I love the format of this book. It makes it perfect for very short reading sessions or longer ones. The sources of the quotes seem to be 'full-spectrum', if you will, ranging from the ancient eastern proverbs to the founder of the Big Mac. Yet, they all seem to have a common thread. A pleasurable, quick read with a lot wisdom packed in.

Poor title. Great quotes
Great quotes. Terrible title for the book. Made a good gift but told the person I gave it to to ignore the title.

Book content is good. But half of the pages fell out of the book while reading it.
