I knew about these items of jewelery already but this is a good book.

Nice reference book.

Georgian and Victorian miniatures, especially lovers' eyes, are fascinating, and it is wonderful to find such extensive research on the elusive pieces that are such rarities and commanding such extreme prices. The only downside is not all of the pictures are colour - for the price I wanted sumptuous full page photos and details of these items, not a selection of both colour and black and white. Black and white just does not do the items justice.

Ok the information is very interesting but there is a serious lack of photos in the book to back the information up. Quite disappointing.

This is a wonderful book for both the collector and the novice. The subject is fascinating and the illustrations are beautiful.
