Straight forward replacement
Brought as a replacement for use in Freesat recorder. Simple 15 min DIY job. If fitting to a Freesat box you do need a T10 torx bit to remove the screws. Works well no problems since fitting.

Works well in BT youview recorder box
I purchased one of these drives in 2022 because my BT youview recorder box stopped working and it wouldn't get past the startup screen and factory reset and maintenance mode wouldn't work. I replaced the drive with this one and it's been working fine ever since. Good replacement

2.5" Drives I use mainly for my laptop
The drives work very well in my laptop and I 'clone' them frequently since I use it to get and as well as keep a spread sheet of my expenditure for tax/passwords etc. in case of a failure. They used intensively which means that I have to replace them periodicaly as the drives eventually fail under stress or purhaps heat.

Does it’s job

Seagate 500GB 2.5" HDD.
So I bought a couple of these drives for photo storage backup's. They arrived the next day and all seemed good, I formatted them for use on my Windows 11 laptop and again all seemed good. After a couple of days taking pictures I wanted to back the memory card up there was about 35GB of files so I transferred them over to one of them and all seemed good. The following day when I went to load the images up to do some post production the drive just screeched in the housing, it didn't show any errors just wouldn't work. Luckily I hadn't formatted the cameras memory card so grabbed the second drive and plugged that in and almost right away that one started to screech too. I know they where only cheap but I'd have expected them to last longer than a few days. I tried several times to use & reformat the HDD but to no avail. I arranged to return them and was issued my refund as soon as I'd taken them to the post office. I've since bought several SSD's for my backups and will keep doing so from now. I glad they failed right away and not 6 months down the line losing 1TB of images.

Bought this unit to replace broken HDD in my Freesat recorder. Easy swap, much cheaper solution than a new box. Normal service resumed.

D drive HDD
It works perfectly with my Fusion5 Lapbook T90B+ pro. It fits into the slot underneath, slide it into the connectors. Settings show the new HDD, follow the instructions. You can then defragment the D drive with the C drive. Restart to finish.

Von heute auf morgen konnte auf dem Mediareceiver keine Aufnahme mehr abgespielt werden. Nach kurzer Recherche stand fest, diese Platte passt. Gekauft, eingebaut, Receiver gestartet und alles funktioniert. Und das alles, dank Amazon, schneller als wenn ich den Receiver mit der Telekom getauscht hätte. Gerne hätte ich eine grössere gehabt, aber da spielt die Telekom Software nicht mit.
