This slippery elm powder is fake. Doesn't becomes semi solid even if we keep it for almost half an hour in a cup of water. Please buy only organic usda approved slippery elm powder.

If you have irritable bowl syndrome this herb is a MUST!! Brewed up as a tea, it works almost as well as a prescription medication that I've been taking most of my life for bowel & colon spasms...but it's a healthy herb!! It also works almost immediately. If you don't like taking medications but have bowel and/or colon spasms I highly recommend this product!! I'm sure it would also work wonderfully if you had a stomach virus with gut pains. If you don't like the way it tastes, no problem! It is such a mild taste that you can cover it up with almost anything (like your favorite tea bag or adding a packet of something like crystal light to it). NOTE: You do need to keep stirring it as you drink it because it settles.Another use that I have found for it is coating your throat if it is sore. I sprinkle a little bit on my hand and lick it (or use a more formal method of getting a little on your tongue to get it to your throat). Soothes a sore throat almost immediately. My 7 year old son also likes it when he has a sore throat.Update: Still working miracles. I just started using it for acid reflux and it's the best portable & natural solution to this that I have found. Chewing fennel seeds also may help with acid reflux on the go. When I'm at home I take a small swig of Braggs raw, unfiltered, apple cider vinegar for acid reflux and it is an immediate cure. I like Braggs best but it has to be refrigerated so I needed this portable GERD solution. This stuff is really amazing!!!

I've never liked the flavor of slippery elm. But..i like what a good slipper elm fires. This consistency and color is what I'm used to. It's great for stomach and intestinal disorders. Year's ago it helped to get rid of h-plori without antibiotics. Now I've been diagnosed with sibo, small intestinal bacterial overgrowth. Causes vomiting had bloating and other issues. Slippery well in some camomile tea 3x a day had helped immensely. I like this product. I ordered first a slippery elm powder EXTRACT that was horrible...like eating vegimite from Australia... ick.....so i made sure i could see the product thru a window. It should be the color and consistency of this product. I've had other heritage products that were also satisfactory.

Purchased for soothing leaky gut inflammation. I had read that it helped with sore throats, and amazingly, when I woke up this morning, I had the perfect chance-to-prove-this-stuff-does-what-it-says sore throat, and it worked, which gives me more confidence that is helping my leaky gut inflammation as well.The required dosage is 1/8 teaspoon, which is like 600 something servings per bag. So when thinking that this brand is expensive, just imagine how long it will last you at 1/8 t per glass, and when you read the reviews of the other slippery elm that don't mix as well, this may wind up being your choice.I'm putting it in all my drinking water for now. It's a fine powder, mixes well, and you barely taste it.

Good quality product. Keeps my kidney diseased pretty cat alive. It helps remove toxins the kidneys cannot. She had 3 euthanized appointments over 1 1/4 years cancelled due to non-stop puking leading to skeletal condition. Slippery elm & D-mannose keep her alive and she's not puking now. Oh the money & sorrow we went through before getting good leads on what this can do. I also use it for stomach pain I get when I eat or drink things. I also used it for over 2 weeks when I had burned my stomach with Ibuprofen taken with too little of food.

This is my first experience with a product such as this. And I'm thrilled. I'm not sure why people say this didn't gel/thicken for them. Had no problem though the package directions say 1/8 tsp. is the measurement. I started out with this and even at this small amount could feel the difference in my body. I'm 4-5 days into this and have increased the dosage to 1-2 tablespoons. Thicken it does after 30 minutes of sitting. Then I fridge it adding it to teas, smoothies as needed. I like the subtle maple flavor. It's a fine powder which lends itself to mixing/dissolving well minus any grit. I plan to order again and keep this around as it has done wonders for acid reflux, stomach discontent, and elimination. 4 stars could bump up to 5 if I had another brand to compare.
