Awesome for powder trekking
I bought these to use around our cabin where there are no packed out trails, just snow fields and gentle hills. Regular cross country skis and snowshoes sink down too much in the powder where we are so after some research I found these and although more expensive than I would have liked, they are a great fit for our winter terrain. They float good, although there are times when I wish I had purchased the longer length for better flotation, and glide nicely once a semi packed trail is established. I weigh 150lbs and sometimes carry my son and pack with about another 50lbs added on so 200lbs on the 125cm is pushing it. My mom is who will primarily use them and she weighs 100lbs. This length is perfect for her. I can climb up a pretty steep hill too without them slipping backwards. I am an expert skiers and highly suggest using a stiffer boot while wearing them cause have been using my Sorel boots but my foot moves around too much making it very difficult even for me to go down a gentle slope. Watching my wife walk next to me in snowshoes, struggling in 3ft of snow, and me walking with relative ease compared to her, makes these little skis shine. Remember to apply skin wax to the bottoms before use!

Fantastic skis
I love these skis! I bought an additional pair so i could bring my friends with. Great for going out on fresh snow or through the backwoods! Easier to climb hills than with XC or downhill skis (obviously). We got so much snow this year that I was able to ski out my front door to the park! I used them daily for skijoring with my two 60 pound dogs who love the pull. The skis are slower than XC skis, so I had way more control skijoring with these skis compared to XC. Poles are nice to have for extra stability. The universal bindings are a must because anyone can use them! I prefer the purple/shorter skis because it feels like you have more control and they can maneuver around things easier. Everyone I bring out on these ski's has "ski envy" and bought a pair!

So much FUN!
These are exactly what I was looking for! In one word FUN. I’ve been playing in the snow for my whole life (snowboarding, split boarding, snowshoeing) and these just make it so easy to go get some time outside. Not technical by any means- these are super user friendly for everyone in the family. I now regularly use these to commute 3 miles to work through the golf course.

Wide is good!
Recently took the skis out for the first time. They are so stable! A big improvement from the old skinny skis.

Excellent Buy
These skis are a game changer; better than snowshoes and that's why they are known as ski shoes.
