The Guides Down Hoody is a classic winter puffer that functions from the backyard to the backcountry. This super packable down jacket is a must-have in your cold weather layering kit with technical features and cozy comfort that makes it a perfect fit on and off the mountain. This puffer lives for freezing bluebird days with enough puff to keep you warm on the chairlift ride up or the commute downtown, and breathable enough for steep slopes, deep powder romps, or chasing the kids and the dog at the park.

Excellent jacket. I love it
I was almost put off by the review from another customer about the jacket being shiny in black, but i am so glad i bought it. I would not agree that it looks shiny. It has what i would describe as a soft sheen. Its certainly not shiny like you can get with some jackets. Its very nice and very warm too. The hood is adjustable at each side and doesnt come over your eyes when zipped right up. I like the fact there's a zipped inside pocket as well as a zipped chest pocket too and two side pockets which are also zipped. Warm and lighweight. Perfect and very pleased with it after trying many other brands of down jackets. 700 fill is super and its responsible filling too.

Very warm
I did a lot of research before buying this jacket and because of reviews all over the net I decided on this one. When it came the package was so small I thought it must be a mistake. When I opened it the jacket looked so thin I thought it couldn't be any good. However, looks can be deceptive. It is very warm and stops the wind. The duck down has filled out so it now looks thicker. There are good pockets and the hood is great. The cuffs can be tightened to make a snugger fit.All in all I am very pleased with it and would recommend the jacket to all.

Warm!
Bought for a holiday to Iceland, absolutely brilliant jacket! Most of the time worn with just one layer beneath, in approx -8 degrees temperature with added wind chill and Kept me feeling toasty. Snowing alot of the time and the jacket didn't let any water through. Generous fitting and deep pockets. Recommended!

Quality coat
Buy this jacket!Excellent quality throughout, warm and the recomended size is a great fit. Light rain beaded on the jacket but I would recomend a fully waterproof outer shell if used in extreme conditions with driving rain or snow.It would be difficult to find a better coat at this price.

Be Careful
Product is great, amazing quality and very warm, would recommend to anyone looking for a warm coat. However the seller (BIKESTER) printed my address wrong and the product was nearly sent back, in the end I had to go to the depot to collect it myself.

Very nice jacket.
Jacket fits perfectly. I am 6' 210lbs. Ordered a size XL so that I would have extra room for layers. Havent tested it out in extreme cold but took it out in the rain in 50 degree weather with just a tshirt on and was just fine. Hood is nice and spacious. Jacket is lightweight but warm. Only negative is that it says sleeves have velcro straps to tighten but the jacket doesnt. Got the jacket on sale, wouldnt pay retail proce listed on the tavo for it. Overall great jacket.

Wrong sizing
I purchased two Marmot jackets within a month but had to return both of them. I bought size ''Small'' but they were literally size ''Large'' although label says ''S''. Will never purchase again.

High quality jacket
Marmot is a well known brand that takes pride in its craftsmanship and design.Similar to other Marmot jackets I've owned, this one lives up to it's price tag.The quality of the materials used, the attention to detail, and overall design is well worth the price tag - it looks expensive, and definitely stands out.I got the Vetiver color, which is a bit lighter in color when it arrived than the photos on the website - not a huge issue as it's still similar. It kept me comfortably warm on a cool Fall evening in Southern California. I believe it was in the mid 60s. I didn't overheat while on a casual stroll through a botanical garden, which was nice.I will definitely get a lot of use out of this jacket during the next few months and possibly next year as well.If you've got room in your budget, this is one of those pricier staples you can feel confident in investing-in for the long term. You won't be disappointed.I am 5'10 170lbs. I ordered a large. I usually wear mediums, but I figured since i'll be using this as a top layer during the cooler months, I'd like it to be a bit roomier.
