Great Scenes and Monologues for Actors: Improve Your Memory, Concentration & Confidence with Some of the Best Scenes and Monologues of All Time Mass Market Paperback – September 15, 1998

The first 15 pages are devoted to creating the character and I found them very insightful. A nice, wide variety of monologues & scenes and I really liked the addition of several Shakespearean monologues at the end of each section. It's a plus that there Shakespeare monologues that are not often used. Some of the monologues/scenes in the book are from: An Ideal Husband, The Three Sisters, Master Class, I Hate Hamlet, Conversations with my Father, The Miss Firecracker Contest, Steambath, and much more...I highly recommend this book.

This book is a bit outdated.. even when I bought it in 2006. There are better monologue books out there.. more current.

Good book of scenes.

I received this item in a timely fashion and it has a wide variety of monologues and scenes for both men and women. Monologues have some variety, though they are the majority dramatic as opposed to comedic. If you're looking for monologues or scenes for an audition, I would recommend this book.

Some of the monologues are a bit more adult. If you are buying this for student actors, pick and choose wisely.
