Great Tool Set - Well Engineered Tools and Case
I am VERY IMPRESSED with this kit, and for so many reasons.First I'd like to thank the individual(s) who designed the case. It opens and closes effortlessly and logically stores the tools. Th pivoting bit holder is a nice touch. This is a very well thought out, engineered and manufactured case. Now as for the tools themselves - everything one could need working on iPhones, etc. is included. The bits are quality and stay in the handle. As the aluminum handle retains the bits magnetically, there is a bit of residual magnetism transferred to the tips of the bits which is quite nice for keeping screws attached upon removal as well as when screwing them back in. Each bit is marked (think: stamped/engraved). The black plastic bit holder is white ink imprinted with the locations of each size bit.If you have a workbench "peg board" in which you insert hooks/hangers ... a nice touch is the case has an opening at the top which allows it to be hung on your bench/back board. The aluminum screwdriver handle pivots just like a jewelers screwdiver and has three balck rubber O-rings affixed near the tip which can help one's grip when turning the bit.A suction cup is provided and well retained within the case as is everything else ... hard for something to fall out. Due to the method with which the suction cup is retained, the cup is a little distorted. No problem - I've experienced this before with other suction cups (such as the one I use on a telescopic pole to replace overhead light bulbs) and the solution is to always run the cup under warm to hot water as doing so removes the distortion PLUS improves the cup's holding power. The spudgers worked well and helped get the OEM battery free.On removing the iPhone 5 from it's Otter Box protective case I had an unusually harder time separating the Otter Box case halves. I noticed the phone's glass screen was lifted a bit along the left side (volume key edge) and first thought this happened while parting the Otter's case halves. In retrospect I now believe it was the swollen OEM battery lifting the screen. Consequently removing and tilting up the screen was effortless. There was no need to disconnect the iPhone 5 screen, I just kept it tilted upright during the task at hand.I'm a tool nut and it takes a lot to get me excited over simple tools, so if you are looking for a very nicely packaged, quality set of tools - I highly recommend this product.

even if you pride yourself on being cheap, PONY UP for this toolkit!
Like many people who are trying to repair their smart phone screens themselves, I am thrifty and wanted to save some dinero. So, I made the beginners mistake of buying the CHEAPEST TOOL KIT I COULD FIND from a certain auction site. So, after stripping half of the screws with the horrible, dull, not-nearly-sharp-enough Philips 00/000 screwdriver that came from a 1.99 (including shipping) screen tool replacement kit, I came to my senses and looked on Amazon for a decent tool kit. Ergo, Bonafide Hardware. Also, a screw replacement kit.I received the toolkit super fast (thanks, Amazon Prime!) and was immediately surprised by how NICE the tool pieces were. The interchangeable screwdriver heads(?) easily pop in and out of the metal handle, and look like they are some precision machined tools. I was amazed at how quickly and easily the itty bitty awful iPhone screws came out (< 7 seconds) whereas I previously had been spending several anxious minutes trying to remove ONE screw with the horrible cheap auction-house-direct-from-China/California smart phone repair kit.In a word, you get what you pay for. Now, in my case I only needed the pentalobe and Philips 000 screwdriver heads, red pry tool and suction cup. This was fine for opening/repairing an iPhone 5s. And the screen looked beautiful! Amazing!Too bad it didn't work, because I had gotten the replacement screen from that same auction site as well. So! I should have probably also gotten my replacement screen from Amazon as well. At this point, I gave up and went to the Apple store and waited FOREVER because I had neglected to make an appointment at the Genius Bar. For your convenience and sanity, please make an appointment if you are going to the Apple store to get your smartphone fixed, because they absolutely put walk-ins at the bottom of their priority list. But be careful too, because when I got my phone back, there was a spot on the screen from an improperly placed screw. Which I spent another half an hour waiting for a "technician" (snort) to fix.note: I paid FULL BOAT RETAIL for this kit and I am giving my honest and unbiased review anyway! Don't be cheap, just buy the proper tools from the get go and don't risk breaking something essential like a ribbon cable because you are tired and frustrated from something that should be simple, like removing some stupid screws.

Solid Repair Kit
I ordered this product on April 3rd, 2016 and it was delivered on April 5th, 2016. Very satisfied with the timely delivery and the product so far. I have not had a chance to test it out yet on a smartphone but the product feels and looks very solid. I tested out all of the bits to make sure the magnet that holds them in place was in working order. It is a strong magnet so there is no worry about losing one of your bits because it fell out. The top of the driver spins so that when your palm is on top, you can use your fingers to turn the driver without having to readjust your hand which is a very nice touch. The plastic pry tools are also very sturdy and provide a good fell when you hold them. The sim card removal tool is a nice touch and makes removing a sim card a walk in the park. The suction cup I have tested on windows, tables, and even my own iPhone screen to see how it would hold up and it has no problem whatsoever. There is also a nice lock feature on the side so you don't have to worry about the lid accidentally unsnapping and your tools flying all over the place. I believe this tool set will serve me a long time even though some people say this is a stater repair kit, I believe it will serve me well beyond starting out. I will update this post once I perform a repair with the product to give you a full review. I found out about this repair kit through a youtube channel called JerryRigEverything. He does many cell phone tear downs and other cool tests, go ahead and check him out if you're ever stuck on a repair or even bored and just want to nerd out. I will leave a link to the channel down below.[...]

The tools kit is fine for my purposes
I watched the YouTube video on how to replace the iPhone 5 battery and ordered this kit and the green pry tool as recommeded. They arrived two days later, packaged very well, along with the replacement battery (from another seller), all via Amazon Prime. The tools kit is fine for my purposes. The bits worked perfectly to remove the four screws that needed to be removed. The suction cup was too small to exert enough traction to lift the iPhone glass cover, but he does mention in the video that "the bigger the better" as far as the suction cup goes so we spent a couple of bucks at Ace getting a bigger suction cup which worked very well. (Adams Brand medium suction cups three-pack--made in USA). Used a razor blade to initially work the cover away from the base, then slid in the green pry tool. Popped in the new battery according to the video and all is well. Saved myself about 50 bucks over the Apple repair, and didn't have to give up my phone for however long the repair would have taken. The hardest part of the whole process was removing the glass cover, and even that wasn't so bad, So except for the suction cup, this kit has all you need and works very well! I'm satisfied. One star removed for the essentially useless suction cup.

Great set of mini tools for smaller electronics !!
Worked great! I used the tools to take apart my iPhone 6 so I could replace my battery. Tools also work on my Xbox controllers and some of my PC components. Definitely worth the money. The only issue I had was with the plastic prying tools. Both of them chipped on me when lifting up certain parts on the case/cables. They worked, but definitely could be of better quality. Other than that, it's a solid little tool kit for a very reasonable price. If you need to take apart your phone or other small compact electronic devices I highly recommend this tool kit.
