Fabulesse Back Stretcher

What a great purchase! Who would have thought a little piece of plastic could help so much? I have Spondylolisthesis. My L3 and L5 are affected. The sciatic pain and spasms were the worst. I was having trouble walking and my right leg would go numb. I didn't want to rely on medication every day. I started looking for ways to relieve the compression. I came across this inexpensive stretcher and thought what the heck I'll give it a try. Yes I confess I almost gave up on using this back stretcher. It was painful. Even at the lowest setting I couldn't lay on it for more than 5 minutes at a time the first day. The second day I managed to tough out 7 minutes. The 3rd day was the same. Then on the 4th day I noticed significantly less pain and could use it for 10 minutes. I say take your time and work up to longer periods. I use the smooth side of the board only and haven't gone past the #2 setting. The only negative aspect of this product is the difficulty of adjusting the angle of the board. If you have arthritis in your hands or lack the strength to bend the plastic board into the slots you'll definitely need help.

This seems to be helping me with upper back pain. I recommend to try because it's inexpensive. I think it works best on floor with carpet or yoga mat. I have used in bed on firm mattress but floor is better. For upper back relief, I think arms over head gives a better stretch, but I have some nerve issues that make one hand go numb in that position. I use for about 20 to 30 minutes at a time.

Great bargain for what it does. I used it 3 days in a row and noticed a significant difference in my lower back. I have pretty consistent chronic lower back pain from a car accident that I have just dealt with the last 11 years. 15 minutes laying on this and after a few days you feel your spine stretched more. I have now gone several days without that nagging knot in my lower back. If you don't like the little sharp acupressure points I'd say try the other smooth side but they do not bother me. I have only had to go to the second level so far but as I try and increase my flexibility I may attempt the third. This is a great product, especially for the price.

For me, this stretcher was just ok. It felt nice when I was laying on it, but after standingup again, my back would be killing me. Also, the little white plastic spikes hurt like heck. I think they are supposed to be for acupuncture. Turning to the other smooth side was fine, but as I said before, the relief was very brief. I picked up an inversion table as I've heard that has some longer term benefits. Granted it is a more substantial investment, .....my hope is that it will help solve this back pain I've endure for the last 10 years. For me, this was not the solution.

very simple product to use and stretches the back nicely. I bought is as I only wanted something small, easily stored and useful. It is not used daily but maybe 1 or 2 times per week. Depending on if I have light material shirt on, I may have to put a towel between my back and the top of the stretcher, but otherwise it is perfect.

The moment I opened the box I was disappointed. It's so small! I am 6' tall, and in the pictures it seemed it would be much larger, and perfect for someone of my size. Being eager to find a good stretcher to relieve my back pain I didn't bother to read measurements, only the wonderful reviews that were given. Big mistake. Despite the size I tried it, maybe it's supposed to be that small. Nope, did not relieve any tension or pain, and I just felt plain silly for even trying it. I tried it again the next day, to make sure that I was using it the right way, and all three levels to see if there was any change in how I felt about it. Nope. No matter how long I stayed on it, or the different level, it felt wrong, and useless. It seems it would work better on those whom are much shorter than I. Would not recommend to anyone who is over 5'8 tall. Going to return this as soon as I can.

It's easy to use and change the degree of stretch, but it has hard pokey almost sharp bumps all over it. You can see them clearly in the picture of the product- I just didn't realize how very uncomfortable they would be. There is quite a poke... and it's all over it. I haven't been able to use it very frequently or much because of this. I'm going to try to put a towel or something over it for a little bit of a cushion next time. I'm hoping it will help.

I was a little skeptical when I first saw this but I have to say it is amazing! I started off on level 1 and felt great but level 2 was spectacular. Definitely felt a difference. The bumps for pressure points are a little sharp so you may want to lay back slowly. All in all this was a great purchase!
