Good, tough, but tough to scrape.
Seems pretty good for warm and dirty Spring snow, but hard as hell to scrape if you let the base cool down to 60 degr f.After trying my normal sharp plexi scraper and getting nowhere fast, I resorted to my metal scraper. It worked, but I had to be careful not to take off base material. The scraping felt different than other waxes. Tough and slimey. The resulting waxed base did seem to be nearly impact-resistant with this tough wax on it.

Converted to the Gospel of Hertel Spring Solution
I have to say that I was skeptical that wax could make that much difference on spring snow. I've used it for two very late season at Snowbird ( closed June 20 last year and is scheduled to close July 4 this year!). This wax has made all the difference. With this wax I can use my massive Icelatic Shamans without being thrown on my face when the snow gets sticky. I gave it 5 stars despite the very high price. If you are struggling with spring conditions, this wax could total change things for you.

My spring break wax.
I absolutely love this wax for my spring break trips. Lasts for 3 or 4 days of skiing easily, and consistent on just about any type of snow... except maybe rock solid ice.. but that's more you ski at that point. I tend to mix in a little hotsauce as well, since this stuff isn't as cheap as my 2 kilo block of hotsauce. I mix the hotsauce with their subzero variety too..

Best Spring Wax I've Used
I've been a real believer of Swix's Glacier Wax for spring skiing. Bought a small package of Hertel's Spring Solution. WOW. This is the real thing. Lasted much longer than what I've used in the past. My big problem is I still have a ton of the other Swix waxes. I've become a believer in Hertel wax.

Better than any other spring wax out there
I have used a dozen different waxes over the years... Hertel's Super Hot Sauce and Cold Snap have been my go-to waxes for the last couple of years.. Their Spring Solution is now my third in the quiver.

My old buddy had some leftover silver wax from the 70's that worked better. Wonder why they don't make that anymore
Definately made a difference last spring. Only problem. My old buddy had some leftover silver wax from the 70's that worked better. Wonder why they don't make that anymore.

Great wax
This is really good wax and it lasts for days! Hertel makes the best wax in the world. If you want the Clark W Griswald finish, this is your wax.

Best ski wax for Spring skiing
Been using this stuff for decades for Spring skiing. It works and repels that crud/scum buildup so common during Spring ski season, especially in the East'
