Sports mixture are a funny product, on account of the fact that the flavours, textures and forms, change regularly. The most annoying trend is the flooding of the mix with orange ones, probably 50% orange. You get sick off them when you've picked out all your favourites. Sometimes the black ones are liquorice, sometimes blackcurrant. Maybe the guy who knocks up the recipes, has epic mood swings and feels the need to close his eyes and mess with the controls on his hopper. It would be great if they were consistently fresh, well mixed/distributed and the flavours would settle on the good variety of tastes. I buy them for family, as they're not veggy. Maybe something to think about in the future for Lion.

Let's face it, rowntree's ruined sports mixture by removing the incredibly original and moreish liquorice sweet with blackcurrent. I think I'll write that again in capital letter just to emphasise the point I am trying to make. BLACKCURRENT. The whole point to a sports mixture WAS the black one. You either loved it or hated it, if you hated it you always seemed to have someone at hand who would happily take them as a kind gift.Bear in mind that 3KG of sweets is a significantly large amount of sweets, so unless you have somewhere to store a human baby worth of sports mixture I would go for a smaller measure. Or you could do what I did and just buy it anyway. Dam you Amazon, I'm on a diet.

Just as I remember them as a kid. The black ones - well you either love them or hate them! Needless to say I can't get enough of these tasty treats - and yes, the black ones are my favourites. The 3kg box has an awful lot of sweets and should keep even the most addicted affectionado going for many months. Highly recommended - especially if you still have your own teeth!

Grat massive 3kg box full of Lions sports mixture! With loadsa licorice ones in what maynards took out & replaced with blackcurrant (yuk!) ones. Fantastic price. I Lovvve the licorice ones. Had to leave box of lid for a few days to harden gums but sooo worth the wait. Definitely buy again. Plus free delivery. What more could you ask for.

Here we have sweets just as I remember them (including the black ones being actual licorice!) this pack is great value. We have bought several boxes over the last few months all have been perfect.Thanks Sweet Pot for your service and quality products. Iwill continue to be a repeat customer.

Original flavours in a box big enough to provide a long walk down memory lane when I used to get 5 sweets for an old penny in the wee sweet shop on the way home from school! Other brands are a poor imitation, Sports Mixture has to be made by Lion!

I ordered the 3 kg size of original Lion Sports Mixture for my husband for Father's Day and he was thrilled to bits; most especially as they had the liquorice bits that he remembered from his youth! Sadly, they did not last as long as I, or his two daughters, had hoped or expected because he enjoyed them so much :-)
