Simple, well-functioning, comfortable
It's been a relief to have something just for me instead of using hand me down beard trimmers, so maybe my bar wasn't super high to begin with, but I've been loving this trimmer since day one, over a year and a half ago. It's been so great to use; comfortable to hold and it's never hurt, pulled, or cut too close (though I always use the guard, but at the lowest setting). I'm actually super impressed with how little battery it seems to use; I put in batteries when I first got it, and though I don't use it every day, I haven't had to change them yet! I saw some other reviews about not being able to use it in the shower, and it seems that only the head of it is supposed to be waterproof, and so I never expected to use it in water. I trim, then shower, so it'll last longer by not getting wet and rusty/gunky. And it doesn't take up much space in my tiny bathroom, nor does it have a pile of attachments to clutter things up, so I appreciate the minimalist value of it as well. I'm super happy with this thing. I'd buy it again, but happy I won't need to!

Great trimmer, but don't run it under water!
I love this trimmer. It's a great value at $13.99, and it will not cut you. It's cordless which I find very nice. I have had many moments in my life where I needed to trim only to find that the battery was dead, and I needed to plug the device into the wall for a few hours. Nobody has time for that! This trimmer uses 2 AA batteries. It has a plastic guard that can be adjusted according to how long/short you want to cut your hair. I have used this on private parts, chest hair, and armpit hair without any issues. I have read reviews that many customers have had this device for years without issues. For me, I may have gotten a bad one because it broke after only two uses! This is because I used water to clean it. REPEAT: DON'T RUN IT UNDER WATER! Use only the brush included to wipe away any loose hair. I have replaced the broken one because when it does function properly, it works great!

Simple, cheap, battery-powered trimmer that gets the job done.
I've had this product for 2 years and it works great. I use it occasionally (Maybe once a month) and I've only needed to change the batteries once. It's small enough to reach anywhere and I've never experienced any razor burn or itchiness with the results I use the product without a safety head for a closer trim, and while not advised, it does work fine. However if you are going to use it like this make sure the batteries are at a full charge, there are minor catching issues if it's not at full power. But that's completely my fault, of course. It would be nice to have some sort of indication that the batteries are running low because it sounds like it is working at full power, but it's a bit less effective when you need a battery change. Looking back, I would have spent a bit more money and bought a rechargeable, or wired version, but I rarely have batteries laying around. If you don't mind changing batteries though it's a great product.

Best trimmer of it's kind
I've had various cordless trimmers, all of them were rechargeable, and all of them lost power within a year or two and the cost of replacing the battery was almost as much as the trimmer. This trimmer takes 2 standard AA batteries. I use Sanyo Eneloop rechargables which are excellent. This trimmer is very powerful for it's small size. It fits the hand well. Many cordless trimmers I had in the past were overly bulky. It's a "bikini" trimmer, and it works great for my girlfriend, but I use it too, and we both love it. I've trimmed my beard, my hair, and all parts and it's great. The adjustable length mechanism works very well and is removable, as are the blades which can be removed and thoroughly cleaned (and replaced if necessary). This product is very well designed, and at an excellent price. I highly recommend it. P.S. - The item doesn't come with batteries. As I said earlier, I highly recommend Sanyo Eneloop rechargeable batteries. They're NiMH batteries but with a new design so they keep their charge ("normal" NiMH rechargeable batteries rapidly lose their charge entirely after only a month even when they're not being used at all). Sanyo claims an unused Eneloop battery will still have up to 85% of it's charge after 1 year, and my experience with them seems to confirm that.

Japanese Quality!
I just finished using this trimmer for the first time and I couldn't wait to get back to Amazon and write about how impressed I am. It's something I wish I had bought years ago. Essentially, after a few months of self-neglect, I just had way more hair down there and under my arms than I wanted to try to deal with with a razor. It would have taken me at least an hour to get at it with scissors first and then to get in the shower and shave... definitely would have run out of hot water before I finished. So I came to Amazon to look for a trimmer. The reviews for all of them are so mixed, you never know what to trust, but this one won me over. I didn't know this was made in Japan until I got it (even though Panasonic is a Japanese company, you never know if the product was made in-country or not), but now that I do know, that explains how awesome it is. In Japan, they don't have a culture of returning items. When you buy something, the expectation is that it will work. If it stops working, you'll get it fixed and then it will continue working and you'll probably die before it does. To that end, I am so happy that this trimmer not only does what it's supposed to, but it does it well AND replacement blades are available when/if I need a new one. I read a lot of reviews where I think people were expecting this to shave completely smooth. It's not going to do that. It's just a trimmer, like hair clippers. If you want to shave your head, you use the clippers first and then shave it completely smooth. Otherwise, you just have a buzz cut. That is what this is like. If you want baby's bottom smooth, you need to shave after you trim. That being said, it trims pretty dang close. I may or may not shave after because 'barely there' is usually good enough. I didn't bother with using the attachment since I wanted as close a cut as possible, and even with all of the hair I needed to manage, there was no pain, no catching, no pre-trimming with scissors required. It took me about 10 minutes to do both arm pits and the entirety of my lady parts. After I finished, I used the brush that's included to brush hair off of the trimmer, then I popped out the blade and brushed the hair out of the inside. Then I took a Clorox Wipe and just cleaned it up completely (although, that part is not necessary - it just makes me feel better to do that). I just keep thinking about how much time this saved me and I'm so happy. It didn't get hot either. I can't imagine what you'd need to shave for it to take long enough for it to get hot because I most likely had an 'infomercial-level of ridiculous' amount of hair to trim and it didn't warm up at all. The only complaint I have is that I wish there were a wrist strap because I was kinda worried that I might drop it into the toilet. Also, it has about the same sound as clippers used in a barber shop, so, plan for something of that volume. Overall, I highly, highly recommend it!

you won't be disappointed!
Was exactly what I wanted. And at a great price too! I was looking to get something to give a pretty close trim without actually shaving and this does a perfect job! It leaves a few mm of hair which is great if you don't want ingrown hairs. It comes with a attachable guide but I never use it. This day in age nude is in lol. But it's nice that it's one adjustable thing rather than a whole bunch of peices. I also like that it's cordless and requires batteries. Just because i saw on other products I looked at that the rechargeable battery it came with died in a year or so. Also I liked that you have the option to order a new trimmer head if needed. This trimmer isn't the prettiest or ergonomic thing in the world but it's gets the job done. And it's not like you have to impress anyone while trimming your pubes since you're alone lol. Also this is a dry trimmer only!! Which was totally fine by me because I only trim when it's dry. Easiest way I found is sit on a toilet and lean slightly over and trim WITH the hair. It will snag if you go against the hair and that's not fun. Also if you're wanting to trim in the "delacate" areas take your time and be very careful. I did cut myself a few times but it was my fault not the trimmer. It really wasn't all that painful just a little pinch and a trickle of blood. Certainly not even close to as painful as razor burn and I healed very quickly from it. Isn't as bad as people are acting like it to be. I just ended up using a regular razor for that area. I saw a lot of reviews complaining about that but what do you expect? Your putting something meant for cutting coarse hair on the most delacate area on the body and the loosest thinnest skin... It's kind of common sense people. If you really really want to use it for that area make sure to pull the skin taught and use baby powder so it can glide easily. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase and I love the quality and simplicity of it. And it Doesn't take a lot of space in my drawer which is a huge plus! I also loved that it didn't come with a bunch of gimmicky things that I wouldn't use. From what I'm seeing also this product has been around for a loooooong time and hasn't changed at all which obviously means it's a great well made product.

Adequate, but not a great shaver
This shaver is poorly designed. The on-off switch, for example, is a sliding switch instead of a push button or a sliding switch that moves easily. It requires a great deal of thumb effort just to turn it on or off. I'm a man, not a tiny woman, and it's difficult for me, so women get ready to exercise your thumb. The cutting ability is fine, but it will not cut close to your skin by any means. For that, you'll need another razor in addition to this. I suggest the "CleanCut" which is drop dead amazing at removing all hair so you're completely smooth. My sexy wife and I know this to be true. I'd give this razor maybe a "B". It seems well made and will probably last for years (but I have no idea), but it's just not comfortable or easy to use. I have a small battery-operated Remington razor for trimming personal hair that is miles ahead of this thing. The small Remington has a sliding button that slides easily and a very easy-to-use hair length guide to raise and lower the amount of hair you want left. The adjustable hair length guide on this razor is just as hard to use as its on-off switch, meaning very hard. It's just not a very good razor, that's all. I'd pass on it if I were you.

Best trimmer Iโve ever tried
Let me start off by saying that Iโm a very picky person. Even when I like something I still search for something better. I first bought this trimmer in 2017 and then in 2020 it was aging and not working as great so I set out on a 2 year journey trying all types of trimmers and nothing came close to this one when I first bought it. So many that I tried just didnโt have the power and one nipped me so bad that I was prescribed steroid cream. I finally decided it was time to try this one again and it really made me appreciate it. The hunt has ended and I hope it never gets discontinued. Only downside is that because itโs a bit chunky it can make it awkward to maneuver but once you get a hang of it, itโs fine and it can cut through a forest!

it's ok
It's a bit scratchy and is a bit bulkier and heavier than others. The comb attachment leaves hair very long so is pretty useless

I bought this in 2015 and it still works
I bought this in 2015, this is my standard trimmer for down below. Works well, gets hair short (maybe 0.5cm long). Won't get down to the skin but it's a trimmer not a shaver. For the price I cannot believe that this still works as well as it does and for as long as it has.

I've had it for 10 months and its still in great condition!
Bought this 10 months ago and I use it weekly. Still works great and everything is intact. If you want yours to last a long time as well, remember to remove the batteries after each use and dont use it in the shower! Also remove any hairs that might get stuck cos it will accumulate if you dont remove it! I used to use it with the guard but now i'm confident enough to use it without and it does a pretty decent job.

Perfect!
This is the second one I've bought. I somehow lost the connecter to the battery on the first one when I dropped it. If something happens to this one I'll just buy another one, there's no point in looking elsewhere. What's so great about it? It's great value. It cuts hairs very well, never snags. The batteries last absolutely ages. It's really easy to clean, comes apart nicely. It does the job with the least amount of fuss I've ever experienced with a trimmer.
