Good value for the price. I don’t hear any noise when powered on, which is awesome.Doesn’t exactly stay in the shape you bend it to, as the internal wire is not firm but is soft. When you try to bend it and release your grip, it returns to a generally straight position, leaving only a hint of where you tried to bend it. Superglue might do the trick if your attaching it to a project externally.Not very luminous, but again, good enough for the price.I’m testing out various LED lights available on Amazon, for application on a project that I‘ll need to mass-purchase them for once I find the best effect:cost ratio. Of the 8 LED light strips I’ve tried so far, I’d rank this 4th. Of the only 2 tube LED lights I’ve tried so far, 2nd only because there’s an exact same amazon prime item available for $2 cheaper (19% less). I mean, yeah it’s only $2 bucks, but at 100 units that’s $1,000 vs $800. Missed it during my original search and it popped up in my similar product recommendations when I reviewed my delivery page..

This el wire did not disappoint! I was able to shape it into words easily and it held its shape without having any substrate and without using the tiny ties provided! The tiny zip ties were an unexpected bonus even though my project didn't require them. I squeezed these el wires so hard and at such tight angles, I was concerned It wouldn't light up after such abuse, but it did! I am extremely impressed with its durability and also with its ability to hold its shape. I didn't do anything to afix it to my Christmas tree, simply set it among the branches and wrapped the battery pack in tinsel and threw it in the center of the tree. This el wire does buzz/ hum slightly, but even when the room is silent, it's barely noticeable. Even with all 5 illuminated at once, this is much quieter than the tiny single el wire I purchased a few years ago. I will get more of this next year! (Please note: I painted the wires white to match my tree)

while they look to be about the same quality as other lights they simply aren't as bright if your into making jellyfish umbrella's. My girlfriend and I like the occasional Burning man and aftershock so we may try a different company next time. I will update our post after the umbrella's are done just in case price is a concern for those of you artists out there. A fair price for what they are for sure, just plan on doubling your order to get the right amount of glow!

Fun for making “light sculpture” without paying neon prices. Bright. Can be reshaped without kinks to change the “artwork.” Works correctly with 2 or more colors, but does not blink or turn off with only one color plugged in. I wish it could run on house current and not just batteries.

The wire is thicker than other brands and is harder to create small details. The ground wire is much thicker and stronger so if you're cutting and splicing it's makes a stronger connection.

Bright and fun, but no clue how to use them or secure them or make them bend the way I wanted. Safety pinned them all over me which worked last minute.

These are just what I needed and are very bright. My only criticism would be the power wire length is pretty short; although I should be able to easily extend it if I need to.

Order 2 of these, in both cases, the battery packs contacts don't connect to the battery without adding a metal shim to fill the gap.
