They also are shipped from Hong Kong, so forget about ordering this if you're in the US.I had to throw them out immediately because the bag was full of moisture by the time it arrived - it actually smelled like nail polish remover....so perhaps the US postal inspector chem tested it or something. - I'm actually surprised it made it through. Again I thought I was ordering seeds from someone local, my bad.Anywho, I thought I'd write a review to help prevent someone else from making the same mistake.I'm a gardening novice, so I didn't realize "live seed" was the bulb itself. So I'm not blaming the seller at all, but I do think others might get confused as well.

Package contained ONLY ONE SEED!!!

I planted the seed and nothing. Nice note from seller, but I don't think these seeds do anything. Better to start yam from your own yam in a jar in the kitchen.
