Crimson trace are the best
I’ve used cheaper laser sights and have learned that you get what you pay for. Go with crimson trace and you won’t be disappointed. Green laser can be seen in daylight better than the red.

Green is Easy to See
This laser/light combo attaches easy enough. The quality is excellent, and appears to be part of the gun. The middle finger naturally presses the button when drawing/holding the gun. It is possible to hold the gun without turning on the laser/light. There is a small master switch that allows you to turn off the unit completely. It appears to be made of very durable material, and I do not expect it to wear any faster than the frame of my gun.Mine arrived far out of alignment, but it was easy to adjust and fine tune for my desired range. It is spot-on now, and seems to have held its accuracy for at least a couple hundred rounds. It is a lot of fun to shoot, and I feel like I can acquire my target faster than without. It is another tool that you hope you never need, but a fun toy to have in the meantime. This laser/light will not work with Hogue grips. Trust me.The green laser is easy to acquire and marks very well. I will never go back to red.The flashlight is not terribly bright, but it is adequate. There are 4 modes - laser, laser & light, light only, laser and strobe light. There are very few options for holsters to accommodate this configuration, so I ordered a custom kydex, which works very well. The price is steep compared to others, but in my opinion, it looks great, and does not require any additional action to engage the light when needed. It looks awesome shining down the range!I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a laser/light combo.

Great laser. But you need surgeon hands to screw it together . TINY SCREWS! Tiny!
I absolutely love it except for one thing which is so much significant. Two screws come along to secure it to the frame of your pistol. Do you need to have surgeons hands because it’s so delicate to get these microscopic screws installed properly. Don’t drink any coffee before trying to install this. Lol

Crimson Trace Laser Guard Pro, SW M&P Shield 9mm
This is a totally awesome TOOL. It does NOT replace Good Handling Skills, Sight Aquisition, or practice. What it does do is offer a REAL and useful TOOL in additon to your skillset. Specially for us old guys. It's been said, that a bad situation never happens on a Sunny Saturday, in a great big visual clear, and safe environment. It goes bump in the night,,,,The true usefulness is NOT OFFENSIVE Tactics, it is in defensive and smart tactics. For civilians who are legally responsible for every single rounds that goes down range. A tool is,,,,if the Red Dot is NOT on your Intended Target, you DO NOT pull the trigger. And with the Light, it makes it even more valuable as a tool. BUT you have to practice. The Laser and Light DO NOT replace good gun handling skills.

So far, so good
This is just an initial review because I haven’t used it at the range yet. I received delivery of the item yesterday but installed it today. My mistake was thinking that the hex tool for windage and elevation that came with the package was for installing the screws. To my surprise, it worked but not effectively. That’s when I knew that I made a mistake.I thought that the device didn’t function at all at first, but I did notice a flash of light after I installed the battery. Only after taking it apart again and installing did I finally get it to work. I realized that the button to trigger the device on was right on the front of the back part of the trigger guard. And here I was trying to turn it on with my right index finger while holding the gun in a shooting position. The only thing that I would suggest is clearer instructions. I read the entire instructions once to make sure I wouldn’t make mistakes.

Better than I could have hoped for
Installation was easy, and took less than 5 min. Light was brighter than expected, be aware that it is flood style more than a concentrated beam and there is no adjustment to this (that I have found) but thats not a big deal to me. The laser was bright enough to see at any distance at night and can actually be seen in the daylight as well, however not on bright, sunny days. I've used it for about 2 months now (sometimes just as a flashlight b/c I always have this on me) and have not had to replace the battery. Only problem I am having is finding a fitted holster for it/my ccw. Absolutely would recommend, best light/laser combo that I have ever seen.

Bulky, hard to holster
4-*from Obadiah on March 19, 2021As far as the laser and light go you will be hard pressed to find better. CT stands behind their produts 100%.The issue I have and the ONLY reason I gave it 4 stars is, it is just about impossable to find a holster to fit this configureation. The laser/light...

The best.
Best accessory. Quality is excellent. Fits perfectly, looks great, and adds an ideal amount of weight. It is more expensive than alternatives, but you get what you pay for. Still, it’s a small flashlight and laser, that should not cost $200+ (I won’t dock a star, but it really should not be so expensive)Don’t waste money on less expensive alternatives. Free batteries for life. CT will send you a new battery every year. It is a classy touch, though the reality is the batteries aren’t really that expensive, and less if you buy rechargeables.Installation is simple. Quality A+. Looks A+. Weight A+. Price B-
