Clear Glass 1.5-gallon Chalkboard Beverage Dispenser with Spigot on Metal Rack, Juice Holder Jug Party Centerpiece

I bought this to set up a kombucha continuous brew. The metal rack it comes with is nice, sturdy and powder coated black. I like the rack because I can have the unit on the back of the counter top and not sitting on the edge where my kids could knock it over and break it. The glass is ample thickness without bubbles or other defects. The lid opening is wide and perfect for pouring contents into without spilling. The pour spigot has a paddle that you press your glass against to dispense the liquid instead of the traditional lift handle on top. I have had zero leaks with kombucha brewing in this unit for 2 months straight. My single complaint is that the spigot is too high and will only empty 2/3rds of the container and then you have to tilt it forward to get more out. This actually is fine for what my intended use, but I would find it bothersome if this was for serving at a party. Overall, it is darn near perfect and a great price so I do recommend it.

Order #105-5126488-4933845Placed on Monday, November 24, 2014My last purchase was a bad one, but it was my fault as I did not have time to properly shop prior to Thanksgiving’s. The 1 1/ 2 gallon dispenser was a bit cheap. First it had a plastic spout, next it leaked even after I tightened as the instructions recommended so I had to pour out the fluid and get a wrench on it. Of course then I had to sterilize as the wrenches are not the taste-est. Then because the spout is so high up on the glass it shuts down with about 3/4 th of a fifth still in it so you have to pour it into something else or add another bottle which would have been too much. I guess I should have asked first. Not upset with amazon I just have to look much closer at the pictures which I will certainty do in the future? It seems to me if the majority of the product is glass and you have already marked up the hell on the price why not put quality into it as the next cheapest priced dispenser was over twice the cost of the one I bought. Don’t just threaten the suppliers test their stuff as its your face I see not theirs.

I ordered this dispenser for an upcoming Christmas party. When it arrived, I immediately knew that something was wrong as soon as I picked up the package. Surprise! It was completely shattered. Usually I would never rate a product so poorly due to possible mishandling by the shipping service, but the item was so poorly packaged that I would find it hard to believe that it could arrive ANYWHERE intact. This is a glass item; extra precautions should be taken into account when packing to avoid this from happening. I would have given this vendor a second chance to make things right had they not completely dropped Amazon Prime shipping within a day or two from me returning it. I was forced to do a standard return on the item due to the fact that the item is not sold by Amazon, only fulfilled by them, therefore not eligible for a replacement. Salemart now expects me to pay an extra $54 ($24 more than the item itself!) for Two-Day Shipping, which was free just days ago with Amazon Prime!!! I would be forced to pay this premium if I wanted this item for my Christmas party this weekend. Unfortunately all attempts at communicating with them have gone unanswered. I give up. Avoid the headache, buy elsewhere.

Arrived with packaging a little roughed up, nothing horrible but definitely some corner cringles.Bought steel spigot (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IX87W1Q/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_10) to replace plastic spigot.Funny thing was noticed when swapping spigots - the hole was chipped on the inside but there was no piece(s) of glass anywhere. Not inside the dispenser, box, or packaging. Gone. Guess QA removed the evidence. It wouldn't not have been noticed because the rubber spigot seal was covering the chipped glass.

I love this container. I brew kombucha, and got this one for my Jun. It has worked fabulously. I love that I can fill my glass without moving the container to the edge of the counter (my CB kombucha vessels don't have stands). It is beautiful and I am complemented on it regularly.Re: the spigot being too high to drain entire contents... You will be hard pressed to find a glass container with a spigot super close to the bottom. The nature of glass makes this so. If you need to drain every last drop, best look for plastic containers. For fermenting tea purposes, this is an awesome piece. When I can no longer get fluid is when I add a gallon of tea. Like my title states: I wish I'd bought two!

The first one I received was defective and RUSTY when I received it, but it was promptly replaced. Were it not for the hassle I would give it 4 stars, it's a good product.

I purchased this dispenser for a friend. Unfortunately, it arrived in several pieces. I like the fact it had the little chalkboard to name the beverage inside.

This is kinda rickety. The stand is pretty unstable and I feel we are going to knock it over all the time.
