perfect for class presentation
I spoke to my child’s class about the midautumn festival and this was a perfect book to read. Along with a mooncake demonstration and making lanterns it was a simple talk.

Loved the story and the illustrations!
The Moon Festival is a lovely time in China and moon cakes are delicious. It's a happy festival and that spirit is beautifully captured in these pictures. Jillian Lin's series are super and well worth collecting. These books are perfect for any mom who wants to teach her kids about a China its customs and history.

Students loved this book!
My students loved this book. I liked how it explained the Mid Autumn Festival traditions and the legend in kid friendly terms. My students liked how they could see the Chinese characters for the same words they were reading in English. I would like to purchase the other books by this author.

Nice book with lots more to learn
I bought this for my child’s reading aloud class and it’s really worth it. A great story followed by many interesting facts about Asian culture and traditions. I would definite recommend parents and care takers to take a look

Best autumn moon festival book
Amazing book. Just the right length. Not too short or too long. Much better than the other stories I saw that were available. Most of those were for babies vs elementary aged kids.

QC Issue
3 stars, because the book has erroneous pages in the middle of the book /facepalm. Kind of annoyed, but it’s a pain to return, so I’ll just have to tell my daughter to ignore those pages. It’s very obvious those pages don’t belong in the middle of the book.

Wish it had the Chinese pin yin
This story is cute and I enjoyed it. However I wish the Chinese characters also included ping yin or a phonetic version so people with basic knowledge of Chinese can also read it for the pronunciation. Overall the book is okay.
