CasstromNo.10 SFK - 14C28N/Scandi/Curly Birch/Firesteel - Fixed

First impression straight out of the box - an excellent knife; the fit and finish is very high quality. The drop point (almost a spear point) blade has a satin finish, is "shaving sharp" and has a well executed scandi grind. The curved handle fits my hand very well and the masur birch scales are simply gorgeous. The sheath is also top quality and holds the knife very snugly. It's actually a little too tight right now, but I imagine this fit will loosen a little over time as the leather stretches with use, but I suspect the knife will always be held securely, with no danger of it coming out by accident. The fire striker has a nicely finished masur birch handle and fits snugly into the sheath; a quick test showed the spine of the blade easily struck sparks. All in all, I'm very pleased and I'll update this review once I have properly field tested this knife.

This knife is fantastic. The description doesn’t mention it but it’s a scandi grind which is visible in the picture they provide. I was unsure when I ordered it because of this but was glad it was when it arrived. It feels good in the hand and is very sharp. I see this lasting a lifetime with a little care.

Excelente calidad del mango y la hoja del cuchillo. Longitud y ancho prefecto para bushcraft. Se adapta muy bien a la mano y es muy cómodo. El filo escandinavo es excelente para trabajar la madera y creanme cuando les digo que me resulta mejor aun que el Mora Garberg que tengo hace 4 años.La funda de cuero no es de excelente calidad. Se siente al tocarla. Aunque por ahora retiene muy bien el cuchillo. Habra que ver en unos años si mantiene esa retención cuando el cuero se empieza a desgastar.Recomiendo comprar el cuchillo con la hebilla que resulta excelente cuando te sientas o agachas para algún trabajo. Altamente recomendable.
