Death Valley National Park Recreation Map (Tom Harrison Maps)

Good convenient map
Very nice write-onable waterproof material. Quite good size - any bigger would be unmanageable and smaller would be unnecessarily larger scale. It is quite readable. My only disappointments are: a) it is completely blank on the back which is useful for writing notes etc but i would have appreciated some info about the park and trails on the back or some insets etc of some places likely to be visited. Also, online I found descriptions of a dozen or so trails that I don't find marked on the map. Since the map is not crowded with words or lines they could have added these trails without sacrificing anything and i am sure they kNOW about them being expertes on the place. But I am happy to have the map so I give it a solid 4 stars.

The Go To Map for DVNP
Excellent Map!!!!! This is the best single view DVNP map I have seen. We do remote offroad overlanding and we purchased this map to use for our recent 4 day remote backcountry traverse of DVNP. The map is pretty perfect. Just know that the dashed black line trails on the map for DVNP - equate to washboard. No fault of the cartographer - just that DVNP is known for vicious washboard. Highly recommend this map to anyone going to DVNP as it provides plenty of detail and the convenience of the entire park on a single side. NatGeo TI maps are my other go to and we also had that one for this trip - but we found ourselves using the Tom Harrison map the majority of the time.

Great map quality and series
I have a few of the maps in this series/by this brand and they are all high quality and easy to read.

Very helpful if you are an off-roader
Unless you are an off-roader this map is probably an overkill. If you are an off-roader I would definitely recommend it. This map, used along with my GPS navigator, helped me navigate through a few treacherous trails such as Lippincott pass and Mengel pass.

Only map you’ll need
This map was amazing. We used it everyday we were there. The map is all on one side, Made it easy to plan the route for the day. The only other thing we used was a book, Hiking Death Valley Nat’l Park.

Silver Medal: outstanding, but still second best.
This is a good map for 4x4 explorers, but outclassed by the National Geographic Trails Illustrated map of Death Valley. Whichever one you get, search for and download the free pdf of "Death Valley Backcountry Roads." Together, each pair is complete.

Fantastic Death Valley Map
Used this map to prepare and plan my trip to DV and also used it every single day while driving and hiking through the park. Really great and detailed map and the quality is top notch - did not need any other maps on my 8 day visit to this park (including a jeep drive through Titus Canyon Road).

One sided
It's probably described as such but this is a one-sided map. With maps I always think print on both sides so you can put as much information on the piece of paper as possible. Doesn't make sense to me to leave one side blank. So it's a good map for when you're in Death Valley and you lose cell reception. And I suppose having all of it on one side does mean you don't have to keep flipping the map. You can put it to a wall and leave it. But it's one-sided, FYI

Quality road map
Good quality synthetic road map with detailed types of roads. 250,000 scale so not suitable as hiking map.
