Fun set
I remember having this as a kid, always liked it. It came with everything needed. The set felt a little cheap, like it might break hitting the ball but we worked through it and made it work. After a few hits it felt better. Fun to play.

Professional Set Mallet Broke on 3rd Game!
So, after carefully researching all the croquet sets available, I came down to two possibilities...the Eastpoint Sports set with a nifty carrying caddie for $50 or the "Professional" Franklin Sports Croquet Set for $112. I would have bought the Eastpoint but it was sold out and not available anywhere online so I figured what the heck, spending a bit more would result in a better set. One of the features I loved about the Franklin "Professional" set was that "The wooden croquet mallets have durable metal locking joints for added longevity" and the professional set was described as "the Franklin croquet set that’s engineered for dependable use, year after year". Before pulling the pin and making the purchase, I looked at the reviews of the Franklin set which were actually pretty crappy, 3 stars from 141 reviews. So your thinking, "well dum dum, you bought an item with three stars, what were you expecting?". In my defense, the reviews included reviews for both the Franklin children's set ($30) and the professional set ($112) and they did not clearly indicate which review was for which set. There were a number of terrible reviews which seemed to be describing the childs set and a number of great reviews that seemed to be describing the "professional" set. So that's my excuse for making a purchase on an item with an overall 3 star rating. That said, the amazing "professional" set with "durable locking joints for added longevity" lasted THREE, yes that's right, count em with me...THREE games before breaking. Check out the picture...the four miniscule screws holding the "durable metal joint" on the mallet head stripped and pulled out!!! Finally, to add insult to injury, the bag that's included with the "professional" set is terrible quality with a crappy vinyl zipper AND you have to unscrew and disassemble every mallet to fit everything into the bag. SO, upon receiving this set with the crap bag, before discovering the set itself was poorly made and crap like the bag, I threw the bag away and built a sweet croquet caddy for the set. Because I don't have the bag, I am stuck with a Franklin croquet set which I will have to repair and reinforce in hopes of getting at least a few more games. It's too bad, Franklin used to make some pretty good outdoor games, I think someone on their executive board may have caught a lawn dart in the head and scrubbed quality to save a few bucks!

Good set for the price
I bought these to play with my grandsons ages 5 and 6. I did not want to spend a lot if money in the set. Everything comes in a box with a handle so you will need to keep the box for storage. It is a decent set for the price-not high quality but again good for an inexpensive set.

Good Quality Set
I bought the professional set and wasn’t exactly sure if it was going to be sturdy enough. I had looked all over for a good croquet set that was sturdy but didn’t break the bank. When it came in I was pleasantly surprised to find out it was a very solid set. The balls are solid, you can hit them as hard as you want and they won’t break. The mallets are also a very nice length for adults and are made from good hard wood. The only problem I noticed was one of the mallet handles was missing a screw. I stuck a screw in and it was good as new! If you are looking for a solid set, look no further and buy this one. We use these rather aggressively and it occasionally gets tense, but they have stood the test of time for us! We have used it many times now and are very happy with the purchase!

Great game for Autistic children and for Cerebral Dystrophy Children.
My 11 year old Grandchild has these issues. It's been hard to find outside activities that she can play. She can walk however, her left side is very week and balance isn't good. She loves this game! It is a game we can play with her and is wonderful for her self confidence! What a beautiful smile it brings to her face! The parts are made well so we have had no issues with it. The carrying bag is great to have.

Probably the lowest quality item I have ever bought on Amazon
We set up to play the first game and 2 of the 4 mallets broke on our first game. It is not made out of wood but some sort of incredibly light and fragile composite. Complete waste of time and money.

Cheaply Made
I can’t believe this costs $90. Everything has a light and cheap feel to it. The balls are smaller then our old set. The wooden threads to hold the head to the shaft is unfinished wood which will wear quickly. Why charge so much for such a cheaply made product? I guess I’m the sucker, learn from me. Be smart, spend a little more and get a set that’s going to last and is closer to the intended size and weight.
