Works well, as advertised
The product is easy to use and seems accurate enough. It helped me determine dwell and rpm in my 1967 Ford Galaxie with a 289 engine. It is well built, the components are sturdy and well insulated. The display is quite large and easy to read, even in bright sunlight. It comes with the battery.

Measure your disappointment with this meter
Awful tool. Bought it to measure idle rpm and dwell on my ‘44 Willys and this meter failed at both. The tone was set right out of the box, the included battery was dead. I robbed one from something else and continued on. Super cheap construction, the alligator clips failed immediately so I used a set from my Fluke multimeter. It didn’t matter since this couldn’t do the job right anyway. I set it up and the screen started getting glitchy. I might have gotten a dwell read, but I’m not sure. It freaked out trying to read rpm and I got nothing. I’d give it zero stars if I could. Look to another brand.

Dwell feature did not work
Maybe a unit issue but was unable to record dwell or rpm when used on VW bus. I returned it.

Does not work on dwell and RPM for 65 Corvette
Bought for dwell and RPM on my old classics so I could retire my 70's Sears Engine Analyzer that is a bulky box. Hook-up and tst charging system and alternator diode and worked good, test spark plug wires and worked good. Ohms all good. Dwell for 4,6 and 8 got nothing. RPM for 4,6 and 8 noting again on 65 Corvette 327 stock points and coil. Bought another meter from Amazon and also used old Sears meter and dwell and RPM all good. Returned to Amazon and same thing with replacement unit.

Parts not included
My husband says it works OK. We waited to long to open package. When we finally used device, batteries not included as stated on package. We went and bought the 9v battery we needed (not AAA as listed in description). It worked OK but would have like to used the alligator clips shown in description (also not in package) Beware description did not match product received.

Used like new? Not
Arrived missing parts and manual, and does not work. Obvious that there is no quality control on used items. Never again.

Best used for when you don't need it more than 8 minutes at a time
The battery saver feature is frustrating if you're taking readings in the same mode for more than 10 minutes. It shuts off if left in the same mode for 10 minutes regardless if the reading changes or you're moving between test points. If you only need to take quick reading it's okay, but if you are looking for a meter for extensive troubleshooting keep looking, cause this one isn't for you.

Not a Fluke, but great value.
Fantastic tool for my classic car workshop. I was going to buy a Fluke, but simply couldn't justify the expense. These came up well in reviews, and I'm very happy with my decision.
