WKA12-7.5F Sealed Battery Replacement 12V 8ah F2

So my Verizon Fios battery decided to die one day and I needed a replacement. I went online to their website and thought it was highway robbery. Then I went to a local battery place that also sells lightbulbs and that was definitely highway robbery. Then it dawned on me that I could go to Amazon. Well, it's been in the box for a few months now and doesn't seem to be having any issues. We haven't lost power for long periods of time and this seems to be holding up well. I test it from time to time to make sure it's not a bad one and it hasn't let me down yet. I would definitely recommend it.

Easy to replace. Wish it lasted longer...

This was purchased to replace the battery in an uninterruptible power supply (UPS). While it is too soon to say how well it will hold a charge over the coming months or years, it is working fine now. This battery was much cheaper than the local battery store, and a new battery was a whole lot less than a new UPS. Shipping was fast and the battery was an exact fit. The date code on the battery was only a month back, so this is good. Rechargeable batteries are best stored in a charged condition, so you wouldn't want a battery that may have been sitting on a shelf for a while. The battery arrived in a relatively thin bubble-wrap package (I was expecting a box because of the weight), but it was fine just the same. I bought this battery to replace one installed by our security company. I matched the "style" (WKA 12-7.5F) and bought this one. The battery itself works great. The only problem I had was that my connectors were just a little bit smaller than the ones on this battery. A quick trip to the hardware store and I was able to cut off the old connectors and crimp on the ones for this particular battery. All-in-all, a great buy and saved me a LOT of money over a security company service call.

Bought 2 for an old home alarm system, and they were direct replacements. As I started to work on the system I conducted one last test on the old batteries and found them to be in good condition. The Supplier was explicit about what could be returned and how, and they accepted my situation and allowed the return.

This has been a very cost effective replacement battery for my APC UPSs. Typically, a UPS battery has lasted only about two years… three at best before the UPS goes into alarm mode. I'll try to revisit this review as time goes by to report how long this brand holds up. So far it's corrected the battery alarm when installed in November 2014, and the UPS has operated flawlessly through late March 2015.

Sorry to get around to reviewing this product so late. Many years ago my security company replaced this battery and charged an unfair price ($300). We decided the next time this battery died we would replace it and we did with this battery. This battery lasted exactly 2 years from the time of our last replacment NOV 2008 to 2010(write on the yellow area when the battery was replaced). Easy to install, very cost effective and so we highly recommend.

Ordered from Beiter DC Power. The description states it has F2 terminals, and it's hard to tell from a picture. The battery I received had F1 terminals. Battery is good and the fix is simple so not worth shipping back. It just took an extra half hour of time to swap out the leads in the inverter.
