Truly All-Purpose sleeves for artists too...
I'm an artist / writer / snap-fit Gundam modeler who lives in the basement of a house with a swamp cooler and no cold air return. By the very nature of my work environment down here, it's cold as all hell, which often negatively affects my quality of life while trying to write or draw or whatever I'm trying to do. I just got these today, and I'm extremely grateful that Past Me looked out for Future Me and ordered these, for various reasons. - First thing I did was put them on. great fit. Armpit to fingertips I've got about 26" of upper limb real estate (each arm). They don't encumber the movement of any of my fingers or thumbs. I'm totally fine writing and drawing with these on so far... - ...Which brings up my point of praise: because Kevlar is a very non-abrasive material, these don't seem to smudge my pencil marks. Definitely not as easily as my clammy hand tends to, which brings me to... - These don't make my arms sweaty or clammy. I've been wearing them since I opened my package 4 hours ago. The tendons and ligaments in my forearms are wonderfully comfortable They're *not rigid cold* and they're not overly warm. Sleeves don't seem to cause any sort of sweating or clamminess for me. Basically, they fit great, don't inhibit my movement while doing art, keep my arms at a comfortable temperature, lessen the amount of abrasion / smudging while drawing, and could also potentially save me a limb or two in the absurdly unlikely event of getting caught up in a knife fight. Who knows, maybe I'll take up wok-based cooking so as to reap the heat-protective benefits of these bad boys as well. VERDICT: highly recommended as HIGHLY versatile, functional accessories to basically ANY task you can think of.

Worth the money worth using them
These sleeves were great. You won’t cut through these and you’ll have a sparks through them. Still wear your gloves you won’t be disappointed with these sleeves ……

Awesome arm protection and breathable
I do a lot of metal work in South Texas and don't want to wear a long sleeve shirt in hot weather. These help protect my arms allowing me to wear a short sleeve shirt. I do not use the thumb holes because that add material into the palm of my had causing hand fatigue or grip slipping. Make sure you wash them before wearing; I didn't and they made my arms itch. Problem went away after a run through the washer.

Works just as expected.
I got these sleeve for riding my motorcycle for two reasons. 1. While wearing my leather jacket on the bike I tend to get a cool breeze up my sleeve. While this isn't a huge deal it does get a bit annoying. Wearing these heat sleeves practically eliminates this breeze that travels up my forearm and helps to keep me warm when it is cooler outside. 2. While riding I've always noticed a gap of soft pink skin between my jacket and glove. ,I've always been worried that if I ever had to ditch the bike, or the bike ditches me, the asphalt would tear into my arm and my skin. Having this Kevlar here gives me peace of mind that I have some added abrasion resistance to protect myself from road rash. The gloves would have gotten a 5 star rating but I've noticed that one of the sleeves has a smaller thumbhole than the other one. Small enough that if I use that sleeve on my throttle hand I an feel a bit of discomfort after a while. It's not a huge problem, I just switch the sleeves around, but because it's an issue with quality I'm taking off a star. Also...be aware that the pair I got is not really black in color. In the sunlight it looks like a dark Navy Blue. I really don't care what color thy are. What matters is that they are comfortable and they should do their job. However, I never plan on jumping of my bike to test them.

Must have for certain jobs
Anyone who’s had to check and fill transmission fluid on newer model F-150s knows how hard it is with that stupid hot catalytic converter right where your arm needs to be. These sleeves make the job way easier and much less likely you’ll get a 3rd degree burn…

Pretty good.
Works really well for sparks but offer little protection for slag or and molten metal droplets. Same thing goes for the cut resistance…they work well to protect against abrasions but will not save you from anything razor sharp. These are great if you’re doing smaller projects but I would not recommend these if you’re doing anything heavy duty or plan on using them every day. I wish they were 4”-6” longer but ultimately they met my expectations and I’m happy with them.

A Welder's Perspective
tl;dr: The Nomex and Kevlar work, but the sleeves are far too short for normal American men. Welding blasts UV as a result of the plasma arc. I have a decent UV burn on my left bicep right now from the coverage gap between these sleeves and my short-sleeve shirt. My fault, for sure. I blame nobody but myself. These sleeves caught all the UV, sparks and slag tossed at them without issue. The issue is they only extend to my elbow. I'm not an over-sized guy - I'm shorter than average and have what they call an 'athletic build'. Point is I am smaller than most welders. So if these things don't fit me, forget the 200 lb. pipeline guy who sticks all day. I used these twice over 24 hours while doing some small MIG assembly - everything from small 'shoot and scoot' weld nuts, up to sched 80 pipe fixed to 1/4 and 3/8 hot roll. Nothing fancy; moderate arc time. God help me if I had gone TIG - that stuff lights up 10x worse than MIG and 50x worse than sunlight. Ouch. On the upside, they are cooler than my leather jacket in a 90 F heat; I just wish I had the foresight to purchase a longer version. If you are using these for welding, go look for a pair that are long enough to cover up to your biceps. If you are using these to protect from biting millenials that cannot stand a bad grade...not sure I can help you. Check with a local university teaching assistant - they undoubtedly have better experience.

Length of the product only able to cover till my forearm (was expecting to cover my whole hand), not stretchable making pretty uncomfortable to wear for prolong period

Son rápidas de poner y cubren bastante bien el antebrazo y manos. Quizá un poco cortas para quien tiene brazos largos o son altos.

I bought these for fire spinning as I kept burning my arms/wrists and these are great. Incredibly comfortable, fit well and do exactly what it says on the tin. A bonus for me is that they look good for performances and since they're black you can't see any soot marks! So a win-win situation, really!

Bought for my professional welding fiance...protect well from burns, even UV burns. Recommended.

Bought these for cat grooming, they are not bit proof. They do seem to be okay for scratching, for the most part. Anyways, I'll buy welders gloves next time. Probably fine for their original use, they seemed like good quality otherwise!
