Amazing sugar-free, grain-free recipes
This is an amazing cookbook. I have been following a low-carb, paleo diet for a quite a while and really appreciate that this cookbook is filled with comfort foods that fit this diet plan. The chocolate chip cookie and brownie recipes are worth the price of the book alone. Yes, there are some more unusual ingredients that you definitely won't find in a standard supermarket or corner store, but low-carb, ketogenic diets are very strict, limiting, and can feel very depriving. I consider having to buy a few unusual ingredients on the internet to be a very small inconvenience for all the comfort foods that you will now get to have. I have used birch xylitol and stevia for years and many prominent holistic doctors highly endorse them. I love the way that these sweeteners are low in carbs, do not elevate your blood sugar or feed the gut pathogens that so many of us have. I highly recommend this book, it will make your life better.

GREAT tasting food that will help you stay grain free and sugar free ...
Dana Carpender can be depended upon when it comes to grain-free, low carb, ketogenic or paleo food. And her food never tastes like cardboard. She has been around for years and her reputation as an authority on great tasting food that will help you stay healthy precedes her. Five stars for Dana...always! She is the super cook that the "nice boy" married!

helpful but not all gluten free
A great resource, however I didn't realize that some of the recipes contain gluten - I mistook it to mean it was gluten free. Please be advised if you have a gluten allergy or intolerance that some of the recipes contain gluten.

Recommend!
Goody recipes for those of us who have to restrict sugars and carbs! It's nice to be able to have cookies, etc. without "cheating". Clear instructions and uses ingredients that can be found pretty easily.

I am sorry to say I'm disappointed
I think I have every other Dana Carpender cookbook and use them every week. I am disappointed that most of these recipes use sugar alcohols as the sweetening agent. I'm quite sensitive to these and try to avoid them so will not be making many of the recipes in this book. I would guess they are very yummy if you don't mind using erythritol.

Love this Book!
All I can say is "Thank You" Caitlin & Dana!! I just started a low carb lifestyle and really miss my sweets. You ladies hit it out of the park with this book! Although I've only made one recipe, Dana's peanut butter cookies, they are absolutely amazing. My kids are devouring them as well! You'd never know they were made with almond meal and whey protein powder?! I can't wait to try more of your recipes. They will make this new lifestyle journey a whole lot easier. Thank you so much!!!

I think I have all of Dana Carpender's cookbooks and this is the first one I really didn't like. It's a pretty slim "book" and most of these recipes can be found in her other books. It only has recipes for sweets & baked goods. I was hoping for more meal-type recipes and there are none. That said, if you have never tried one of her cookbooks, this might be a good introduction, especially if you are new to low-carbing. The little book does have some replacement recipes if you are craving pancakes or muffins or other sweet treats.

Great recipes
There isn't one single recipe that I didn't want to make, they all look and sound wonderful, especially the fat bombs.
