Runs a little narrow but otherwise nice looking boots
My daughter rides 1-2 times per week and has been for the last couple of years. This is her third set of boots because she has outgrown her other pairs. Two of the boots we have purchased have been TuffRider Children's Starter Lace Up boots and one was TuffRider Children's Starter zipper boots. We have stuck with the Tuffrider brand because they are a very good value for the money, especially since I have to keep getting new ones as she goes up in size. The boots have held up well and still look nice so it is a matter of outgrowing them rather than outwearing them. In fact, since they are unisex, we have passed down the ones that she has outgrown to her younger brother who is also taking riding lessons. While they are definitely not as nice as some boots that are on the market, they are a great bang for your buck as some of those other shoes can be over $100. We have even warn these to horse shows so certainly good enough for our needs. Our only complaint is that they run narrow in the toe. Our daughter does not have wide feet but we have had to size up due to the narrowness. This is why we opted for the lace up version rather than the zipper - we are able to cinch it tighter around the ankle so that the bigger size does not mean that it is falling off of her.Overall, no complaints but be mindful of the fact that they run narrow when considering size.

Pretty good... not perfect
A lot of people hated these boots in the reviews yet I bought them anyway and I'm happy with them. They have their faults. When I first tried them on, my feet said I needed to return them...they were pinching, ouch! I have short feet but they have a bit of bulk to them. I wear them four or five days a week and they've shaped to my feet and actually fit pretty well now. If I really overdo the tramping around in them, I get blisters on my lil' toes... but that happens in any shoes. The synthetic leather is good for cleaning stalls and I think they'll last a while. The little clasps on the inside would grab my socks but that was an easy fix. I must add that they are really nice looking boots and I'm happy with them! I went on JPC fine riding products, looked up the shoes and printed out the sizing chart. I seriously recommend everyone does it. Also, make sure to print it out at 100% I hope that helps! =)

Tongue slides to the side
These are comfortable other than one thing: the tongue constantly slides to the side, and the rivets for the shoelaces poke into my ankles. I'm constantly readjusting these and it has made me not wear them as much as I would otherwise.

Great deal!!
For anyone else thatโs confused by the size options, 75=7.5, 85=8.5 etc. I was unsure but took a chance in hopes that that was what it meant and sure enough the size 75 i ordered was a womenโs 7.5 Very happy with the look and quality of these boots, weโve had several pairs of the same boots over the years and have never had an issue. They always hold up well enough to pass on to a younger rider after my daughter grows out of them, and she isnโt gentle on her stuff. She had a pair of Saxon boots that the sole fell off of within a few months so we switched back to these and never looked back. Bonus: The size i ordered was only $15 which is an incredible deal for these!!

COMFORTABLE, BUT NOT STURDY!
When I received these they were so comfortable. One day while at work, my foot hit the bottom of a door. The toe of the boot was dented and remained that way until I was able to remove the boot, put my hand on the inside of the boot a push the dent out, which is still visible. About a month later, the inside back of the boot, inside the lining, began to move around as if the support had not been attached properly. I continued to wear the boots a while longer after that, but it became annoying to have to constantly adjust the inside just to get a comfortable fit. I've decided to take my 10+ years old boots and have them re-soled. I know that I can rely on my old, comfortable sturdy boots!

It might be better to just spend more money
I started getting back into horse work two years ago and needed an affordable pair of paddock boots.I was initially so excited about these but no amount of break-in or thick socks can stop them from giving me debilitating blisters. I had to wear sandals for two weeks after wearing them for three hours. I still want these to work but I ended up leaving my coveted world of paddock boots for western boots.Iโm still trying to break these in nearly two years later. Any amount of time while walking results in heal rubbing.

Nice looking and great price
I am returning them. Mine were not moldy like many people complained about. I am returning them because they are too small. I can't order a size up because then i'll be tripping over the toe. They run REALLY narrow. I do not have wide feet either. I walked around my kitchen in them to see if i could make them work after breaking them in, but the walk was too painful for me. Little sad, they are nice looking boots at a great price.

I love the feel of them
These were a replacement pair for me. I love the feel of them...very comfortable. However the heel was coming apart from one of the boots after a month of riding in these. Decided to try them again because they were so comfortable. Hoping it was maybe just a defect in that particular boot.

Great for pronated feet!
These are fantastic boots!!! Our daughter has pronated feet and the doctor recommended these. Medical shoes for pronated feet are extremely expensive and require a prescription, these are a third the cost and no prescription. We have been using these for the last five years and her feet have greatly improved. These are durable and lasted through 4 children! They remain firm and provide excellent ankle support. I don't know how they stand up for riding, as they were used for everyday shoes. Funny enough, our doctor told us, these are the kinds of shoes all children should be wearing anyway. Great product!!!
