Does a modification of adding a 6” wheel change the depth of penetration significantly (re a change made by 3 star reviewer)?

To make it work at all you will need to add a lot of weight to the top of it . In doing that it makes it hard to pull around. How far it penetrates depends on how hard your ground is.

Does it have a tray for seeds?

No. Seeding will have to be done separately

What sort of block size and weight did people find effective?

A rectangular patio block. Cinder block didn’t fit like they did on the old ones. One patio block after it rained a few inches worked fine. 2 if it’s dryer I ratchet strapped them on.

What tools are needed to put it together?

You will need a wrench or socket set, most importantly a 7/16” wrench and a ½” wrench
