Rear HVAC Blower Motor Resistor - Replaces JA1626, 79330 S3V A51, 973-548, 4P1493, 79330S3VA51 - Compatible with Honda Pilot 2003-2008 & Acura MDX 2001 - Heater Transistor

Good US Made product (GWA Auto Parts) that fixed the issue I had with no air blowing from my 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500 4x4. All 5 blower settings would not work. Only got cool air when driving at highway speed. A friend mentioned it may be a resistor issue. This product is a Kit so you get the resistor and the harness pigtail. You simply install the resistor but need to clip some wires and attach the pigtail with some butt connectors. After watching a youtube video it seemed a pretty simple job. Took me about 20-30 minutes in all. I'm not a professional but can fix quite a few things when given good directions.The youtube video mentioned to be sure you look at the existing part and what is required for the mounting holes. Part # 973-405 is what I needed and had 4 mounting holes (even though only one hole on each side was needed to mount properly). Part # 973-409 has just 2 holes (one on each side) but the part is configured a little differently on how it fits the vehicle. Do your research to ensure you have the right one. Some reviews complain about it not fitting and that's a user error not a problem with the company providing the product.I tried to buy this same part from Napa Auto Parts locally and saved almost $20 getting through GWA Auto instead. I like Napa products but I also purchased a Blower Motor for a Prius from GWA Auto that also works well and again was easy to install thanks to youtube. Nice to get quality products from a US company and not some knockoff from China. I will keep buying through GWA Auto when possible. Thanks!

It came as advertised and quickly. It fit as needed and worked perfectly. It even came with the wiring lead in case the wire lead in the truck was part of the issue. I would definitely purchase and recommend this device and company.

Bought this a while back to try and save money. I should have just bought an OEM one. This worked great for a month or so before failing. I will say the seller was very good with the warranty. Asked a few questions and sent another out. Replaced that one and same thing. 1-2 months tops and it died again. Went with an OEM on eBay for ~$10 more. Not the hardest thing to replace but also not something I like contortioning myself into 3 times now. Save yourself the money.

Update: 10/27/2021After waiting for 2 months. Seller sent out a replacement device. I installed it and now the AC worked perfectly. Thank you for providing an amazing customer service.Seller replied to my email and request promptly and continuously update me with the device because there was a shortage.The replacement device feel like the OEM, much better quality and sturdier than the one that was originally sent to me.Original: 08/02/2021This product did not work. I bought it for the rear ac. It is very easy to install on my 2004 Honda pilot. After installation, the rear ac works but it cannot be turn off.Pro:- easy to install- cheap- customer service reply to email promptlyCon:- cheap, when compared with OEM, this item feel cheap, much light and the heat gel that was used was sparse. They can at least ad more heat gel to it.- plastic cap that covers the circuit is cheap, and wasn't as secure as the OEM- might have received a bad item, ac will keeps running and cannot be turned off. I had to remove it and keep ac to stop running again.I contacted the customer service via email provided and they replied stating that they do not have a replace and had to wait a few weeks. Still have not receive a new piece yet...Buy at your own risk. Just remember that you can't return the item if it does not work

Fast install, for a typical Chevy pick-up.Did not need the replacement plug.The blower now works on all 5 settings.Good value for the price

Easy install on my 2008 Honda Pilot EXL, AC worked perfectly after the install and I was able to fix the AC before I sold it.

The product is very good and fixed the problem with the AC fan. The installation was a little awkward, through no fault of the resistor manufacturer but rather the truck manufacturer.
