SurgiSeal Superior Flexibility and Optimal Strength. SURGISEAL Topical Skin Adhesive provides the optimal balance between strength and flexibility. SURGISEAL adhesive can replace sutures for incision or laceration repair and is designed to save time during wound repair, provide a flexible, water-resistant, antimicrobial protective coating, and eliminate the need for suture removal. Top Features & Benefits High-Strength 2-Octyl Cyanoacrylate Formulation SURGISEAL adhesive is made with a 2-octyl cyanoacrylate formulation, which features a greater breaking strength and broader uses in clinical applications than existing n-butyl-2-cyanoacrylates.1 High Moisture Vapor Transmission Rate (MVTR) The proprietary formulation is designed to provide optimal permeability, increasing moisture and oxygen transmission to the wound. Antimicrobial Protective Coating As a microbial barrier, SURGISEAL adhesive can also be used as an auxiliary adhesive in conjunction with conventional suturing for surgical incision closure, which can reduce postoperative infection rate significantly.2 OctylFlex Technology Provides increased flexibility designed to contribute to patient comfort and helps preserve the integrity of the adhesive, preventing premature sloughing. Precision Applicator The patented applicator is designed to provide greater coverage with less adhesive material and requires no catalyst to activate its adhesive properties. This self-contained applicator is designed to increase efficiency in the OR, to be used on multiple lacerations, and to reduce waste.

Excellent glue option for surface lacerations.
This is a great glue as an addition to the glue arsenal of products such as dreamland. Unlike Dermabond, surgical give you more time before it sets, which is good if you have uneven edges or a difficult area which requires gluing. I highly recommend this product. remember once opened, you may not store or use it again, so use the glue in layers, drying the first before applying the second. It will hold better and give strength to the underlying first pass.

The amount on the box in the picture is 3 ...
The amount on the box in the picture is 3.5ml and the box I received says 0.35ml and the applicators clearly are only 0.35ml. The picture has been edited and is misleading. Avoid buying. I have attached a photo of the box I received and a photo of the picture on the product page.

The product works well.
I have used SurgiSeal several times for small skin tears or deep cuticle furrows which will not heal. It is MUCH more effective than similar OTC products seen in most retail drug stores. The size is 0.35 ml, which is plenty to seal small areas. One reviewer gives the product only one star because on one place on the box, there is a typo that says the size is 3.5 ml. The other area on the packaging does list the correct 0.35 ml. Not any big deal. What I use this for is a product which seals my skin., which it does well. In summary: the product works well and is superior to other similar products I have used.
