Q: How long do they last

In the description it stated that one bag can be reused up to 2yrs.

Q: Will these activate if placed near a window during the day for 6-8 hours? It's too windy to put them outside....

Hi Scuba, Great question. I would say 'yes' because it is the heat that reactivates the charcoal, not the direct sunlight. You could also try to 'hanging' them outside with clothespins. However, if you try it by refreshing them inside in a sunny spot, use the bags and notice they aren't working, then you could go back to putting them outside in the sun. I compare this to a cat that sits in a sunny window ... their fur gets as warm inside as it would them sitting outside in the sun. I love these shoe deodorizer bags. Good luck!
