Definitely rustic
We're using this to hold dog leashes and dog-walk related gear. The size is perfect for that, and it is low enough profile that we could hang it in a hall. Functionally it is working well, but I subtracted a star because the wood is not very nice - it has some marks and scars like it's made from used wood - definitely rustic.
