The colors are just a little dull compared to those in the photo. Otherwise, the mug is exactly right. We have a lot of mixed designs and types of Polish Pottery. We use them constantly, so, although they are tough, we need to replace them every once in a while. It's a little tricky figuring out the exact replacement for a favorite piece that broke, but these are the exact size and shape of our tea mugs. If you like Polish Pottery, you know that some cups and mugs are easy to drink from, while others have shapes that seem more designed for looking at rather than using. Photos and descriptions are not always clear. The description of this piece was precise. Otherwise, prices for Polish Pottery are all over the place, and despite buying many over about 20 years, I still cannot understanding how they are priced. I've seen what seemed to be similar pieces priced from $6. to $45. The price of this mug looked like a good value.

Durable high fired stoneware that will not fall apart. Has lovely intricate design and hard protective glaze.

I love Fiesta ware but this Polish Pottery is so beautifuland the quality is the best--I would reccomend at leastyou try a coffee mug to see how superior these piecestruly are
