Learn how to stay true to and focus on your own creative vision when the world seems out of control, as bestselling author Austin Kleon offers advice, stories, and anecdotes that teach you how to persist in doing work that helps make a world worth living in. Keep Working. Keep Playing. Keep Creating. In his previous books Steal Like an Artist and Show Your Work! , both New York Times bestsellers, Austin Kleon gave readers the keys to unlock their creativity and showed them how to become known. Now he offers his most inspiring work yet, with ten simple rules for how to stay creative, focused, and true to yourself—for life. The creative life is not a linear journey to a finish line, it’s a loop—so find a daily routine, because today is the only day that matters. Disconnect from the world to connect with yourself—sometimes you just have to switch into airplane mode. Keep Going celebrates getting outdoors and taking a walk (as director Ingmar Bergman told his daughter, ”The demons hate fresh air”). Pay attention, and especially pay attention to what you pay attention to. Worry less about getting things done, and more about the worth of what you’re doing. Instead of focusing on making your mark, work to leave things better than you found them. Keep Going and its timeless, practical, and ethical principles are for anyone trying to sustain a meaningful and productive life. Review: A timeless book both from the heart and for the heart - I’ve read Austin Kleon’s other two books, Show Your Work! and Steal Like an Artist, both of which offer advice on how to unlock your creativity and help you to get your work out into the world. In this book aimed at writers, artists, and creatives of all types, the author offers tips, tricks, and techniques on how to stay creative during good times and bad. Though this is just a short book, it is an inspirational one, and it contains an incredible amount of wisdom and depth in its pages. The book is peppered with relevant quotes, humor, chuckle-worthy illustrations, black-out poetry, advice from other creatives and inspiring stories that made me get excited all over again about the projects I’m currently working on. But more than that, this is also a practical book on how to live a good and satisfying life despite the chaos that sometimes surrounds us. Though this is a fast read — I think I read it through the first time in less than two hours — this isn’t the kind of book you place back on your shelf when you’re finished and forget about it. Like his other books, you’ll want to have it close at hand so that it’s within easy reach to refer back to often. I now have it on my desk with his other two books, and I have little doubt that I’ll be turning to it often. I think this would be an excellent motivating book to refer to when going through rough patches — those times in your life when success seems too far off to reach for or when you’re feeling lost or jaded. This might be just the book to pull you out of a slump. All in all, Keep Going is a timeless book both from the heart and for the heart, and I highly recommend it. Review: 10 Tips for Coming Alive by Being Creative - I loved Austin Kleon's book "Keep Going" so much, I bought copies for friends last Christmas. He expresses creativity and wisdom in 10 short, digestible topics that tease you into being creative yourself. While reading the book, I had a smile on my face, and felt more alive and excited about Life. Just Keep Going!
Overall, this is a very quick and interesting read. In my opinion, this book can be hard to understand or it "beats around the bush with the writer's explanations of his top 10 list on how to keep going. I've read his other two pieces of work and enjoyed them. I will try to read this again shortly to get a better understanding of some of his points. Mainly, what I've taken away is what the tiltle has stated, "Keep Going". No matter if you're an artist or a small business owner. Just keep going!

Must Read for Creatives
This book is a high recommendation for anyone who struggles with developing a clearer view when it comes to their craft. Offers a fresh perspective on approach and has even assisted me with invigorating new ideas and limited creative fatigue. This book was recommended to me, and I now do the same for you.

Loved this book the most
This is the third book I’ve read by Austin and this one might’ve been the one I couldn’t put down. I wanted to finish it but didn’t want it to end. Very easy to read and packed with tons of great ideas and things to try! Highly recommend!

Highly motivating and insightful
This book is 15 by 15 cm. The language is easy to understand and the presentation is ingeniously engaging. I read all 3 of his books in the local library but decided that this was the one I needed most. I keep this book permanently on my art table. There are many challenges facing an artist, most of which stem from not having another human being nearby to share the journey. It is so easy to give up one’s craft and go back to something else that seems easier. I have found that this book helps me especially on days when I feel frustrated with my art. It’s like having a good friend to share one’s artistic journey. Along with the 10 ways, Austin Kleon shares several anecdotes from others and his own insights on the creative journey. Other reviewers have already elaborated on the content so I’ll refrain from doing so. It is a great little book, especially if you’re an artist, new or experienced.

As Inspiring and Practical as it was a delight to read
I read this book each day while taking an Epson salt bath and listening to Zen music. I couldn't wait to jump out of the bath with creative insights about my own creative journey bouncing off my right brain-left. brain. Simple but not simplistic. Clear, easy and insightful. Highly recommended. The way the author ties creativity to the vulnerability inherent in the marathon of the creator was moving while being consistently actionable.

En kärleksfull knuff i rätt riktning
En bok som är mycket enkel att ta till sig och som verkligen kan låsa upp blockeringar och påminna om de små sakerna man kan göra i vardagen för att nå stora mål!
