Maille Original Cornichons Gherkins, 13.5 oz (Pack of 2)

Small, crunchy and tasty!

Anything French is worth a buy.

These are by far the best cornichons I have tasted and I was excited to see I could order them from Amazon. I love, love, love, them. One of the jars arrived broken. Although they were packed in a box inside of another box, the thin bubble wrap did not insulate them enough. The outside box was smushed.

Always flavorful and crunchy.

whether you are having a cheese ball or chunks of cheese on your cheese platter, adding Maille Cornichons will perfectly enhance the enjoyment. I have tried other cornichons. They are sweeter or they are not as crispy. I love the sour punch and crunch of these cornichons.

Cornichons are not dill pickles. They are not sweet gherkins. Cornichons are tiny, tart gherkins that have little bumps all over them and they are so crisp and tasty. I started eating them decades ago when I ate meat, always having them with pate and mustard. Today, I still love a good mustard and the Maille Original cornichons but I have them with cheese, fish, meat-free pate, white bean soup, in salads, a lovely martini glass of ice cold vodka, or out of the jar while I open the refrigerator door and wonder what I really want. Compared to other brands, these are crisper, tarter, prettier, and easier to remove from the jar. They are consistent from jar to jar.

Fantastic pickles

These gherkins or pickles ("cornichons") are delicious as a separate treat or as part of a salad; marketed by Maille, the famous french mustard shop near the Church of the Madeline in Paris. One can find them in some shops in the States but this is superb they are for sale on Amazon. Tbey come in a glass jar and contain small onions as well, with a clever green plastic "fetching" tray to fetch them out of the bottom of the jar, as if to remind you to "restock."
