A Little Night Music (Libretto)

I've recently been cast in a local production of this show, but wanted to get a head-start on my lines before the rehearsal materials came in. After comparing this with the licensed materials that came from MTI, they scripts are identical (save a few words here and there). No major changes have been made to the script. The best part about owning my own copy is that I can high light and mark it up without having to worry about sending it back after the show is over. There are also some black and white pictures from multiple productions of the show, as well as lists of major productions and available soundtracks included in this book. An amazing show, and a great souvenir for those who have seen it or taken part in a production.

All the vocal parts and a condensed score for piano accompaniment. This is one of the best, cleverest musicals ever written; to have it for study has been a joy.

Great quality, well printed. This is the libretto + play to accompany the revised vocal score. If you're doing the show, you'll need both the revised vocal score and this libretto.

What a joy to read Hugh Wheeler's text and the wit of Sondheim's lyrics !

Don't get mixed up! Somehow, the pages with the reviews of the A Little Night Music LIBRETTO (only words) and the PIANO/VOCAL SCORE (only music) are the same. Also, if you try to get this on the Kindle, the only available option is the Libretto. I found this out the hard way when I mistakenly ordered it expecting the score. While I was mildly upset to find out I was missing the music, I'm not entirely ruined, because now I have access to some of the great scenes from the show. However, beware, and really check before you buy to make sure you are getting the version you want.

One of my favorite Sondheim plays, this copy is closer to the 1990s score than the original Broadway recording from the 1970s. Nice photos.

beautiful condition, excellent publication of a great libretto

I believe it necessary to be able to read the libretto at ones own pace in order to understand what Sondheim was trying to say , this provides that at affordable price.

Quite simply one of Sondheims greatest shows, and one in loving being in :)
