No zippers - yes!
I bought other gators that had zippers and buckles which were a constant nuisance. Besides being a Rubiks Cube to put on, if the buckle was too tight, then normal walking action would pull the zipper apart, which was almost impossible to rectify while hiking - I threw them away. These gators have Velcro straps which are easy to put on and, if necessary, adjust on the fly. They only cover the ankle, but thatโs all I need to keep stickers from entering my shows or socks,

Great gaiter, crummy straps
I used these on some extreme jungle hiking in Uganda. The fit and material of the gaiter is great and despite mud and jungle branches scratching at these they look and hold great. Kept the fire ants out. Only trouble is the strap that goes under your foot, it just won't hold. The small plastic clasp that holds the strap let go on one of the gaiters and no matter what I did, it wouldn't hold after the first hour. One gaiter's snap held. The gaiter w/o strap stayed in place mostly and depending on your use you may or may not need the under boot strap. They worked for what I needed, price was right, hence the four stars. The strap is disappointing though, its a trip hazard and I'll have to cut it off. I don't know if I would buy these again, but they are the only small gaiter I have tried.

Works for Grass Seed, but cut off the useless and dangerous strap.
We have many acres of conservation woodland to maintain, and this time of year the grass seed makes the work painful. I used these for the first time today, watering seedlings for a few hours and didn't get a single burr or seed in my socks, or even inside my shoes. What a relief! The straps came undone constantly, and I finally gave up on them. They did nearly trip me a few times, so I'm cutting them off. Pretty useless, and actually dangerous.

One Size does not fit all!
One size does NOT fit all. I am a women's size 8, and it was far too large. Parts of the shoe cover portion were under my heel, and the strap under the shoe was under the wrong spot (would wear out quickly). Too large around the ankles, (although I do have skinny ankles). It does look exactly like the photo, so if you're a larger size it might be just fine.

Low quality gaiters-broke on first hike
Product adjustable strap fasteners broke within the first 10 miles of the hike. Before breaking, the adjustable straps required refastening frequently. Did keep the rocks out.

Perfect, durability, fit, and function surpassed expectations
I just beat the heck out of these on a very wet ten days in the Cotswolds. They are light, durable, fit running shoes well, kept water out, and kept the mud at bay. The bungie seal on the calf is snug and feels good and even keeps water out, and the strong neoprene under the foot strap add security, adds a tighter seal, and the cam buckle works in the mud. These worked so well and are so light I may get them out for 14'ers and try them with my mountaineering boots as well. The charcoal colored mesh fabric front and orange back are subtle and add just the right amount of flair as you stop in for a pint.

Good coverage over mid-high boot
I like that they are low but fit over my Merrill mid-high hiking boots. The only reason I didnโt give 5 stars was because the strap that is supposed to go under your heel is not placed forward enough to actually work. I just cut them off because the buckle ends up under my heel and would not work when trying to walk. Iโm thinking I donโt need the strap but if I find I need something under my instep I will sew them back on in a better place. Will see how well they keep stickers out of my socks. ;)

Work Well to Keep โStuffโ from Getting in my Boots
I have a great, comfortable pair of hiking books which have only one drawback โ they are so โopenโ at the top that small stones, gravel, twigs, leaves, snow, even bugs get flipped up and into the books as I hike. I was stopping every 1/2 mile or so to empty my shoes! And I hike almost every day. So, it was annoying. I found these gaiters on Amazon and decided to give them a try. They work great. I can hike for hours without having to empty my shoes one time. They are lightweight and fairly comfortable. They have a strap that goes under the arch of the shoe and Velcro at the back to connect them on to my boots. I was afraid that under-strap might wear out quickly but Iโve hiked a hundred miles or more wearing these gaiters and they havenโt busted yet. They do make my feet sweat a bit but then I get fairly moist after a couple hours on the trail anyway. So, yeah, they work for me. They look a little odd but then Iโm too old to care what my feet look like.

These are brilliant! My running trainers sometimes let sand and grit into them when I'm trail running. Sometimes it can even manage to find a way into my sock. The last time this happened, over the course of my run the sand in my sock caused a blister. So I decided to look for something to prevent this. I have my favourite running socks that I love to run in but they are short ankle socks, therefore allowing sand and grit to creep into the sock from the ankle cuff. I didn't want to change the socks that I run in as it had taken me a long time to find the perfect ones for me, so I was on the hunt for another solution. These Aonijie Trail Running Gaiters are fab! I am a size 7,these are a size medium and they fit perfectly. You pull them on up onto your leg first and then put your trainers on. You then pull them down onto your trainer so that the cuff sits up above the ankle. The strap goes under the trainer and there is a little hook at the front to hook onto your lace. You then finally tighten the elastic around your leg to secure the gaiter in place and voila!!! I have used these on a few trail runs so far. You do not notice the strap under the trainer when you are running . My first thought when I saw these was that the strap wouldn't last, but it's still going strong and not really showing any signs of wear. They do a perfect job of keeping sand and grit from entering my socks and trainers and even help with preventing rain from running down my leg into my trainer and soaking my sock. Even though these are not waterproof they do a pretty good job of diverting light and medium rain away from entering my trainers or soaking my socks. When paired with my goretex trainers they are very helpfull at aiding to keep my feet dry. These are a great buy and I would recommend to anyone looking for trail running gaiters that work. I am attaching a video to show how little they have worn during the 100km or so I have run in them.I hope this helps.

Sprayed with waterproofing spray and kept out some rain. Found that they were a little fiddly at start but I think they were not broken in. Happy with purchase.
