Remy 94415 New Alternator

Great fit..solved problem

The alternator in my wife's 2009 Ford Fusion gave up the electronic ghost a couple weeks ago, so we've been having to put the battery charger on it overnight, every night since then in order to get around town. In the mean time, I checked Ford and O'Reilly for replacement alternators: Ford was very proud of theirs (at $454, plus core charge), and God only knows how much they'd want to install it; O'Reilly wanted about half that much as Ford, plus core charge, and they don't do installations. The Remy alternator from Amazon was 1/3 the cost of Motocraft, and I found a trustworthy mechanic's shop who'd install it for $110. So, for about 1/3 the cost of having the local Ford dealer supply and install the part. I've put in alternators before at home, but there's no way I could get to this one, what with the transverse-mounted FWD engine - pretty much need a hoist to get under it and some non-standard tools. I got the Remy shipped to my front door in 3 days, and the shop installed it in a little over one hour. Car is back in service and we didn't spend more money than we had to to get it fixed. I left off a star in the rating because there is no warranty information provided in the description. Bet I can find that elsewhere on the 'net.

Front bracket was broken off, being the technician I am, I just used the old front plate and took it as that. I would advise you need to pack an alternator with more than just a pieces of paper.
