The New Rules of Coffee: A Modern Guide for Everyone
H**!
Reads like a long blog post, no interesting information
Very quick read, no interesting information, has a page telling you how to tip a barista and another one telling to wear headphones in a cafe... Good illustrations. Not informative, just a quick read. If you're paying more than $2, not worth it.

I Really Wanted To Like It More....
Very little information in this small book. Extremely general information. Only talks about basic coffee, never touches on coffee as prepared in other cultures (Cuban, Turkish, German...???). Uses drawings like a grade school class to illustrate things. Strange to find a book that was sold for money decrying world-wide commerce. Coffee was an early reason cultures met and traded. This book is too hip for it's own good and takes the "Poor, exploited peoples" path. Save it. Talk about coffee. There are pretty pictures, some of which appear to be color-coded, but have no chart to explain the colors. Most were clearly drawn by an art school student who has the skills of an 8th grader. The cartoonish graphics betray and simple approach to a HUGE subject. This book is aimed at a 16 year old who stumbled onto their first cup of decent coffee and thinks they are the first one EVER to discover it. It clicks off the boxes of social responsibility to ensure sales to the 16-22 year old easily influenced crowd. As for social responsibility, it's pretty much a way of killing trees to make a buck off a blog. At least electrons don't die for a blog. In the grand scheme of things, it added nothing that an hour on the internet doesn't yield. But I liked the cover layout. Oh well. If you need to prove you are hip to others and have little to no self-confidence, this is a great book for you. Sorry I listened to the Amazon suggestion to add it to my order.Notice I never plugged there website. They do they plenty in the book.....

This book is amazing. The people behind sprudge have such an amazing wealth of knowledge and this book proves that. The simple art work let’s you focus on the content and not fancy visuals. Anyone working in the coffee field or just interested in coffee should buy this book.

Helps you get a better understanding of the black stuff in your cup.
It’s a short but informative book on coffee. It’s basically a cooking guide for the creation of a cup of coffee. For people like me who are just now exploring the tasty world of coffee. For the folks still gagging down the always burnt coffees from the huge Seattle coffee empire, this little book can set you free to explore coffee from all over our planet.

Easy to digest, quick read.
This was a pleasant and quick read. Written in an accessible, casual tone with brief but not rushed pacing (probably catering to us who became readers in the internet age). Read it if ypu want to expand your knowledge of coffee horizontally--that is, learning bits of many different aspects of coffee and the industry. It is an especially good book for anyone who is constantly interrupted when reading, really busy or cant concentrate on a book for too long.

Agradable aunque breve lectura
Es un libro pequeño de pasta dura con ilustraciones bonitas. No es una lectura técnica, no es muy extenso pero disfruté mucho leerlo, no es lo que yo esperaba.

IF YOU ARE REALLY NEW
I liked it...but did not love it. to be honnest, if all the pages where standard typeset...this book would have less than 50pages. I read it in 3hours.It's fun and light but it's 100% meant for very very novice coffee drinkers...for a beginner.
