Panacea Products 15037 5PC Fireplace Tool Set, Green

I was skeptical upon placing my order at first because I had read multiple reviews on the product. Some of the reviews stated that the person ordered the product listed and received an entirely different product; while others stated that the wooden handles didn't match. Others stated that the cosmetic rings adorning the tool to the wooden handles came loose.I decided to "take the chance" and ordered the set. I received exactly what I ordered. The wooden handles all matched however, there were three things about the product that I noticed. First of all like the reviews stated, the cosmetic ring on one of the tools came loose immediately. It was on the (for lack of better words) log grabbing tool. No problem, right? A bit of silicone and there you go! The second issue was on the same tool. The "log grabber" did not latch close. Again, not a problem! I simply put The aluminum "soft jaws" on my bench vise, as to not scratch the finish and solved the problem. The final thing that I noticed was more a curiosity of mine, more than anything. The packaging on that tool set was incredible! Not for safeguarding the product, but rather unpacking it-- how the.... I opened both ends of the box and was able to get two of the tools out, but nothing else! Everything was zip-tied together and I ended up cutting the box apart. This is not a complaint by any means! I am simply amazed regarding the packaging. I wonder if they built the box around the product--haha!In any case, I wanted to write this review because there were so many reviews that stated it was the wrong product and whatnot. Mine arrived just fine and the tools, as well as the stand seem to be a great overall purchase! Now I did drill a hole into the corner of one of the end caps to install an "S" hook to hang a grill lighter on. My last fire tool set had a place to tuck the lighter behind the broom and shovel. This one is a single sided set up.....

You have to be careful when ordering this set. I, like some of the other reviewers, got a set other than the main picture shown - a Mission-style set with wooden handles. I received (from AceHardwareOutlet) a cast iron set with hook handles (at the time of this writing there is a picture - under the main pic - posted by Thilo Wrede showing this set). This is not the 15037 set. The 15037 IS the Mission set with wooden handles.I have returned the set for a full refund plus return shipping. The only way I know to insure that you are getting the wooden handled Mission set is to contact the seller and verify it.P.S. I wish there was some way to post this info without giving a star rating - something I am not qualified to do since I did not receive the correct set.

You get what you pay for. I wanted a modern looking fireplace set and they are. The shovel and log grabber are too tall for stand. There is no way to adjust it. The handles are loose and there is no way to tighten those either. They were cheap and I don’t really plan on using them anyway so good enough. They look nice.

Broke after one month thank goodness for glue

This is a really nice fireplace set, however the broom that comes with it was not the same as the one in the photo. I returned it after a few days when I found one at a local hardware store that I liked better. This product was very good and nice quality. Just not what I thought I was getting.

Very nice tool set. But when assembling ,the bolts supplied are too short. I went to Lowe's and purchased longer bolt screws. Absent doing that I would have had to return the set.

I wanted fireplace tools to hang against the fireplace under the mantle, and I selected this set because the style of stand meant they would lie flat against the wall. I thought they were black but they turned out to be a dark platinum color- which was fine. The tools seem to be well made. I had not planned to use the stand, but my mechanically-inclined 6 year old put it together without any directions and it was quite sturdy. The fireplace brush isn't the one pictured, but its fine. Nice inexpensive set- I recommend!

Nice looking and fits our modern home even though it's "mission"style. Hard to find contemporary designs that are in black, so it works. But the quality is so-so. It arrived with several chips in the powder coating and 2 of the handles were broken, while one had several chips in the wood. Looks like it had been beat up a bit.

Considering that all these fireplace tool sets seem to sell on average for over $150, this at $70 something is decent price wise. It actually looks decent too and even the set doesn't look made to last 100 years, they seem proper enough to do the job. Din't have the chance to test them yet but I will come back when I do.

Look good however very cheap quality, handle caps are held on with cheap glue which have all had to be glud back on.

This is a very sturdy and well designed fireplace set. We love it! Function meets ascetics!

Disappointed in this product. Was not well packed when it arrived. Damaged packaging. The actual material is flimsy. The utensils handles have pieces that needed the be glued. Very disappointed

Muy bien terminado, se nota bastante resistente. Buen diseño pues casi no requiere espacio. Recomendable. Hasta ahora a resistido bien el fuego.
