The dimensions of the Stinger 300MCD21V remote are 3" Long x 1-3/4" Wide x 1/2" High (excluding the visor clip). The two-tiered contour of the Stinger face makes it feel smaller in your hand.The remote with included A23 12v battery and visor clip weighs only 1.2 oz. (very light).The visor clip is removable, but secured with a small Phillips-head screw so it doesn't fall off. With the visor clip removed, the user will hardly notice the size and weight of the remote when carried in a pocket or purse.The battery compartment cover slides down and off and is very easy to open using just your fingers. This is a nice feature compared to other brands of remotes on the market that often require a coin, small screwdriver or knife to pry them open. The 10-position DIP switch block inside the compartment has the ON position clearly marked on one side to aid in setting the correct code.The A23 battery mount is quite flimsy and there are no +/- polarity marks on the case to guide the user when installing the battery. I wish the quality of the battery mount was better.I tested the remote with a frequency analyzer and it was transmitting exactly at 300.0 MHz which is per the specification. This is important because there isn't a potentiometer inside the case to adjust the frequency. The remote has a red LED that lights when the button is pushed.The operating range is excellent. In my situation, the remote opens the gate with one push of the button at a distance of 200 feet through window glass even where the path to the receiver antenna is partially obstructed by the corner of a building. Very nice!

My apartment complex gives each tenant the option to purchase the same remote for $35. I was able to get the pin code from a neighbor and purchased one of these remotes. It arrived two days later, I set the pin code, and it worked with no issues. Battery life is good. All in all, good bang for your buck!

Super easy to program with my apartment gate. I just looked at my old remote and matched the numbers to the new one. Now I don’t have to move them from car to to car every time I leave

This is a great replacement for our old Chamberlain gate opener remotes. They're not a ton smaller in footprint than the blocky beige originals, but they're slimmer and have more contemporary lines.Setup was a breeze; i just set the DIPswitches to the same settings as on my existing remotes, pulled out the protection tab on the battery, and they were working within two minutes. The batteries that come in these are cheap no-names, so you may want to replace it with a name-brand alkaline while you're dinking with it anyway.The range is also much better than my existing remotes, working for a good way away from the gate, and easily through house walls and the inside of cars.The construction looks a little lightweight, but for the money, these are a great value.

This remote is smaller, sleeker, and simply better than my other multi code remotes. The multicode remotes are bulky, have poor range, and rattle. This one is small and solid. The range is also excellent I can open my garage a good 200 feet away and by the time I get there the gates already open to pull in. No more waiting

I got these for my gate to give to friends but I kept them! I tried them out and ended up switching to them over my normal one I was given by HOA. Has such a long range! I can be driving down the road and press it and it starts to open before I even turn into the main gate. My other ones I had to be right in front and sometimes click a few times even with fresh batteries. These are nice and small and sleek too! I highly recommend! Have been using for months now with no issues and strong signal every-time!
