Super comfortable and they are holding up well. I hike a few miles everyday in the hills around my home and these are by far my favorite socks. I am done wasting money on the cheaper ones that don’t last. ** after more than a year of daily hiking, regular washing and going through the dryer, these socks are hole free and several cheaper pair I purchased after these have gone in the trash.Edited to add:Excellent customer service. The company has replaced a few pair that developed holes after 4 years of wear. I almost felt a little guilty taking them up on their lifetime warranty because what other sock would even last 4 years and they didn’t lose their shape. You will not regret buying these.

Better to choose a lightweight 100% wool sock for your summer hiking. This sock packs down to a smooth, uncushioned, uncomfortable surface after 6 months of use.

At one time, I was in a situation where a group of friends and my boyfriend were about to get on a shuttle to go on a hike in CO. I looked down at my boots to find no socks!! I freaked out and said ahh I can hike in just my boots. My boyfriend was like what?? We were in a small town, so the sweet man he is saw a small outfitter in a tiny strip mall across the street. We had to catch the next shuttle because of our 15 minute delay, but he bought me a pair of these socks. OMG. Nothing compares. I own a ton of smart wool, REI socks, and a lot of other brands, but these by far are the best. Cushioned, but not so much it would make your boot/shoe not fit. Fun prints and colors. Highly recommend.
