Will fit over sweater nicely, medium fit was tight but exchanged for a large and now have a perfect winter light weight warm jacket.

Fit is very slim
I would recommend sizing up one size from your normal size, this was a very snug fitting jacket both in the shoulders and body and made layering even with a light fleece or flannel underneath fairly constricting. Im 5'10 and 165, I bought a medium but returned for a Large whic is much more comfortable.

Amazing jacket but too tight in upper back
I wanted to love this jacket - high quality materials and fill, DWR, superbly crafted, great semi-long length, long arms, awesome hood with brim!, everything near perfection - I'd say the best built lightweight down jacket. However, it is simply too tight if you have a wider back / chest. As noted by many others, it cuts into the armpits and lat area. I sadly had to return it. If Rab could just make it one inch wider across the upper chest area it would be perfection. I don't know why but they make thier size Large for a 43 inch chest, whereas every other manufacturer seems to make Large fit a 44 inch chest. I have never had this problem with any other size L from any of the other brand.For context, I am a 6'-0" 170 lbs,, 33" waist, 34" arm, 44" chest - slim, but with a classic v-shaped (climber) upper body / back. I wear size L in all other tops & jackets, size 44 dress jacket, 16/34 in dress shirts. If you are looking at a size Large and have a 43" chest or smaller this is an amazing jacket and you'd be crazy not to get it. Be aware it does have zipper on the left which is semi-annoying.Sorry, Rab - I really wanted to keep this jacket & would've also ordered an Electron Pro had it fit. Please make your stuff one inch larger in upper back/chest!

A great bit of kit!
Tested this jacket on the Welsh mountains just after Christmas and it kept me warm in sub zero temperatures. A great bit of kit to have, need a good waterproof to go over it though, for extra protection.

Warm and feather weight
The media could not be loaded. Excellent product. Original Rab warmth. Excellent to protect from mild to mildly severe winter. For more harsh winters between 0 and 5 degree Celsius, one should use more layers for warmth.Excellent and good purchase. 👍
