Each device has an LED that illuminates the lower device icon (blue) constantly. When you press the switch in the upper position, which is the on position for the device, that upper icon will light up with a blue light. When you press the switch to the lower position, the light on the upper blue icon on that switch turns off, but the switch remains lighted with the lower icon for the device in the lower position. So remember that these switches will still draw power to light their small device label LED at all times to indicate what device they control. I had to install another master switch for this three switch pod to turn off the power to the switches to prevent current drain from the battery. As far as the switch itself, all three switches are wired so that there are only two leads foe the whole pod. You only have two lead to hook up a red wire (positive) to the battery power source and a black wire (negative) to the ground. Each switch has a lug for each device's red wire (positive), and for each black wire for each device, you hook them all up to a common ground or together with the black wire from the switch pod. This makes it simpler to wire using only these two leads for all three devices..a power lead and a ground lead.

Falls apart when you pull the wire ends off but there is a trick! Poor Instructions
This was my first review of this item: I will never order from this vendor again. When we pulled the wire ends off the switch the whole tab came out, it did this for everyone I tried to pull wire end out and it broke the switch when I tried to put it back in. Junk. Do no order this product you will not be happy. I was ready for install and now out of return window so I am not very happy. I hooked up with my local automotive wiring shop and he told me the problem. It seems on the wire ends you have to squeeze the tab on the wire end and force it out of the lock then the wire ends comes off easy. Its a shame, since I did ruin two switches and pulled the ends out of three others. I would now order this item again with the knowledge of how to use it. It seems the seller would have told us this in the literature/instructions. I am adjusting my rating to 3. Write better instructions it hurts your product!!

simple to use makes wiring a breeze
solid little product lovednthw simplicity that was getting this panel in place.would be 5star my only complaint is that one of the switches mounting retainers has cracked as has the switch int he mount it self.

Cheap rocker switches
Product came in with 3 of the 6 rocker switches broke. The switches were separating in half on the back side due to the broken cheap plastic tabs holding them together. The volt meter and usb along with cigarette lighter outlet appear to to fine. Rocker switches have weak springs. I plan on replacing all the rockers with quality switches from different manufacture.. I’ve compared these to a switch I picked up at West Marine which is definitely built better.

I guess i would say its decent.
It took me a little while to install this switch panel but when i did i have already had multiple issue 2 switches are already broke from pressing them maybe on/off 10 times, and the connector holding the switches to the panel are cracking as well. i dont think i could recommend this product based on my experience.

Piece of JUNK
This switch panel looks nice, but, when you try and take a wire off (remove the spade terminal) you pull the spade out of the switch. I removed all of the wires and tried to wire it into my dash, at that point i applied a little too much pressure an more of the spade terminals pulled out. DON'T BUY THIS PIECE OF JUNK!!!!!!

Excellent Product
Really like this. Easy installation, straight forward.CON: All of these have the mounting holes too close to the cutout pattern, never understood that. It can be dealt with but you need to be careful when cutting install hole.

Poor quality assembly
The holes for the switches were maybe not cut the right size and instead, material was removed from the rocker switch holding tabs which promptly broke as soon as I tried to plug in a connector. the voltage gauge pulled apart from the back as well. I'm not sure if it is bad parts? or bad assembly but I returned this defective piece.
