Great little kettle for pour-over coffee
I got this for making pour-over coffee rather than one of the overpriced gooseneck kettles designed for pour-over coffee. It works great with a 01 or 02 Hario dripper (or similar product). As many have said, the quality is not the greatest, but for the price of a Hario or one of the other gooseneck kettles, you can buy a half dozen of these. I have two, and they both work fine.I don't use this kettle to heat the water, I only use it to pour water over a Hario dripper. The optimum pour-over temp is between 180 and 200 degrees (F), so boiling the water in another vessel and transferring it to this one puts the temp just right. I find I have more control over the pour with this little teapot than I do with those designed by Hario and/or Bonavita (for example). And if I happen to destroy it on a camping trip or similar activity, it's inexpensive to replace. You mileage may vary, but I am very pleased with it for what I used it for.

Perfect little teapot
It's such a cute little teapot and it has gotten a lot of use from me. It's sturdy and I see it lasting a long time. The "leaking" that people note isn't from a defect, it's from hot liquid steaming inside of it and creating condensation, which would happen in any container with a lid that can hold hot liquid. It's perfect for tea, which is what I use it for. Since it's metal, it keeps your tea hot for a very long time. It's simple, cute, and it just works!

Good for the price
For the price, this is a nice tea pot. I got this after using similar tea pots in Japanese/Chinese restaurants. This one is basically the same which is great. It's a little larger than the ones in the restaurants but that's not a complaint. The only negative I have to mention is the lid doesn't close well. It doesn't stay shut...almost like the weld attaching the lid to the pot is too low on the pot causing the lid to stay lifted up a tad. I had read this on previous reviews but took a chance. Since the lid doesn't stay shut, any condensation the lid collects while you are using it will spill down the front of the pot and on to the table when you pour your tea. Makes a little mess but not horrible. Just keep a napkin around! Even though the lid doesn't close well, the tea still stays nice and hot. I am happy enough not to return this product but wished the lid fit better. Overall...pretty happy!

Good value
I wanted a restaurant style teapot of perfect capacity, hinged top that didn't slide off when pouring, and 18/10 stainless steel. I didn't get the 18/10 steel, but the price was right. It's thin metal, so wash, rinse, and dry after every use to keep it from rusting.

I love the teapots at our sushi restaurant
So I looked for a little metal teapot just like the one we love. It's a good size, got here fast, was a great price, but I have to say that the difference between the teapot at our restaurant and this is that the lid on this is shaped so that the condensation of the hot tea gathers on the inside of the lid and when you pour the tea or just open the lid, the moisture collected there drips everywhere. And it's not just one or two drops. I had to spend a few minutes thinking about it. When I use the pot now, I have a light little towel that I put over the top initially to use as a warming tea cozy, then when I get ready to pour, I hold the towel around the top and catch the drips before they make a mess. It's still a nice little pot and I don't mind using the towel. The lid design is just wrong.

Poor quality control, you get what you pay for, not much.
I expected to have a nice little teapot just like the kind at the restaurants. What arrived looked nice until I looked inside. Whatever method they used to weld the handle onto this teapot had burnt through all of the stainless finish and caused a small spot of corrosion at the base of the handle. No prob right cause its just a teapot and who cares if there is a tiny rust spot in your tea? Well just for kicks I filled the pot up with cold water to see if it would "hold water". It did not. It had a slow and steady drip leak from the base of the handle that produced about one drop per second. I have returned this product, where refund was the only option, and have already purchased a different teapot by Frieling USA from Amazon.com. Yes it cost four times as much as the first one. Yes I am OK with that. I wanted a frigging cup of tea already, throw me a friggin bone here people! Now I am waiting for another teapot and have to wait up to four weeks for a refund. You get what you pay for...If you want an $11.00 teapot that doesn't work from day one then buy this product. If you want a teapot that you can actually brew tea in and drink from then look somewhere else.I strongly advise anyone considering this purchase to definitely not buy this teapot.Don't do it, you will regret it, and you will have to live with the fact that I told you so.

Met our Expectations for the Price
Initially my wife and I were a bit apprehensive about this Winco Teapot because of some of the low reviews, mainly complaints about leaks around the goose neck spout connection to the body. The solder on ours was great, it was finished to almost match the pot so the solder did not stand out and it did not leak. There was no flux discoloration inside or out from the soldering. The hinged lid seems fine. I don't think a micrometer was used to measure the fit, but it is in tolerance. It does exactly what it was designed to do, holds hot water and pours without a fuss once the tea has simmered the correct time. Add the teabags and soon the relaxation begins. My only concern, if this pot is from China, that the solder is not lead based. One note of caution, the metal is thin so the pot is very hot to the touch immediately after adding the hot water. The handle work well and does not conduct the heat.

Good to use for Moroccan Tea
Love my little teapot! It is the perfect size that I was searching for. I use it almost everyday for Moroccan green tea and mint. It is easy to clean, and even after almost a year it is still shiny as new.
