Stansport Tatami Straw Ground Mat 60" L x 78" W

This is a perfect beach mat. It's lightweight, but heavy enough to hold up to a windy day. We took this, and a similar mat from Target with us on our last beach trip, and this one was a breeze to lay out and secure while the other flapped in the wind, folded, and was generally a pain to use. This one is durable as well, holding up to repeated use and sharp kitty claws. Sand slips right through so you're not left laying in a gritty mess. It's also pretty huge. It'll easily fit two adult, and probably kids as well.When folded, it has a nice pouch big enough to hold a small portable fan, or whatever other essentials you might choose to pack, and it also has a handle for carrying.

Worked exactly as we hoped. There was a very small flaw in the straw on one corner but we are more than able to over look the snag as it is used outside the tent door for shoe removal. I recommend this for anyone going camping who likes to keep dirt out of their tent. It also works great for a play area for the kid while things are being set up, so I am sure it will work at the beach as well.

I was looking for something I could spread under my yoga mat when I do a routine outdoors . This oversized mat worked out well. It’s not thick, but offered protection from the damp ground, folded up very easily, and was light weight. I can’t speak to durability yet.Being woven plastic, it should be easy to hose down, I think, and should dry quickly when the time comes. Also I really like the self carry aspect. No need for a separate tote.

This mat is not the greatest quality but if handled carefully and used on flat surfaces could possibly get some life out of this. Folding up and unfolding seemed like a slight task as if not careful the seams can get pulled out. The fabric is not fabric at all but more like a plastic. This mat was really affordable and not bad if handled with care. I used it as an entry way to our camp tent and was on a flat surface. It was very easy to clean as all dirt and dust washed off with light water from a hose. I wouldn't recommend using this mat on uneven surfaces or sand like a beach. Overall it worked for what I needed it for and still have it ready for my next camping trip or outdoor adventure.

I had a mat made of the same material before, but my sister stole it. So I wanted another one. Didn't know this brand so wasn't sure how good the quality would be. I've used it only once and it seems to hold up fine. I like the synthetic straw because it is water resistant, and, therefore, easy care (real straw will break and mildew more easily if not taken care of). It's not waterproof, since the straw is woven together, not one solid piece of plastic. But I knew this and is fine with this. From past experience, the woven structure also means that if I use it on a sandy ground, the sand that gets on the surface will fall through, leaving the mat comfortable to step on without getting sand allo ver my feet.Used it on a dewy park lawn, but once the sun came out, the dewy grass underneath dried out.Nice, big size. Bigger than most fold-up picnic mats.

We ordered this, to take on our vacation to Destin! I was so happy to have it with us. It held up well, did not get hot out in the summer sun, and because of the woven straw, the sand just shakes straight through it, when putting it away!! Other reviewers commented on the folding aspect, and being able to get it back the way it was for the cover and Velcro to latch. While we didn't have it exactly perfect each time, we were able to easily get it back into a position for the cover and Velcro to latch, and that was good enough for me. If you want it perfectly put away each time, you might have to work on your folding technique a bit. For us, we were happy, the way it ended up. After a week at the beach and several people laying on it, eating on it, and playing on it, it's still in good shape and waiting on future use!!! I would recommend this product!!

This thing started to crack and fall apart the first weekend I used itwhen I tried to put it away. It was used as a porch area for a small tent .

I used this as a door mat for our 10 person tent. It worked great for this purpose and was easy to sweep clean. It is a good size and folds up nicely. It forms it's own carrying case when folded up and that part (handles, pocket, velcro) seems pretty cheap and I don't expect it to hold up too well. That's ok, because the mat itself seems well made and sturdy to last a while.

Buena calidad. Excelente precio.

Poor quality - the straw started to come off after a few uses. Not worth the money spent.
