I'm pretty sure the point is to review the PRODUCT
So I'm going to. First, with subscribe and save, the bottles fall below a dollar, which the cans never did. Yes, it's slightly more annoying to have to peel off the foil before you drink it, but so what? Think back to WWII and the steel shortage. Are you going to tell me that every SlimFast customer recycled their steel cans? I think not. By the way, we're in another war, we need steel. Okay, rant over, onto the review.I love this stuff. It tastes amazing (just like Nesquick, and I think it tastes better from the bottle than the can!), and it has excellent nutrition. I don't use it for weight loss, so I can't comment on its effectiveness there. I am a vegetarian, so I use it as a nutrition supplement. That being said, I tend to live off of it during the weekend when I'm stuck at work for 32 straight hours and don't want to spend money going out to eat. I also like to have it for lunch at my second job when I am busy as heck and don't have a lot of time to eat. It works great as a meal replacement, and I rarely feel hungry. Like it says, it staves off hunger for a good 4 hours.I'm not going to comment on the company or the recent changes. They didn't change the product, and the product is awesome.UPDATE: Perhaps you should all do your research before you complain about the product changes. From the company:-The shake in the bottle is 10 fluid ounces, while the shake in the can was 11 fluid ounces. The new bottled shakes are more concentrated, so there is less water in the shakes. The shakes in bottles have the same amount of nutrition (i.e. protein, fiber, vitamins and minerals) as in the cans. The Slim-Fast shakes help control hunger for up to four hours.

Better taste, terrible price
My wife and I have been using these as meal replacements for quite some time, but the metallic taste of the cans always bugged me a little. The new packaging makes for a much better taste in my opinion, but the ridiculous increase in price more than negates the improved taste. If these go on sale I might purchase more, but at the regular price there's absolutely no way I'll ever buy them.Bottom line: If you are not price sensitive then I would highly recommend trying the new bottles because they taste fantastic. If (like us) every dollar counts, then check out Walmart's generic version (which you can get for just over four bucks per six cans).

Slim Fast delivered to your door
I love being able to have Slim Fast delivered right to my door and the price is a little less buying it through Amazon subscription service. My only complaint is the last order I received of three 20 count shakes was the packages were opened to enable to fit three 20 count shakes in one box. This was not the case in my previous orders as they were sent in two separate boxes. Three is one box is too heavy to life and I don't like having the bottles all loose in the box. As for the product I have used it for years and it is the same great quality you get in the stores. Shipping is free with my Prime. I will continue to get it just not three at a time to avoid the poor packing.

Greedy Unilever fattens wallet, shortchanges customers
I thought it was April Fools Day, but no, it's reality! Leave it up to an American company to pull a stunt like this!Totally unbelievable and uncalled for. Earth to Unilever....we're in a recession. What moron in the company decided to shaft its customers by raising the price, reducing the portion, and ELIMINATING four containers per case??? This is why our companies are failing, and people are switching to more affordable products. This is totally uncalled for, and customers should boycott all Slimfast and Unilever products. I bet the genius in charge will get a huge multi-million dollar bonus, reduce profits after this stunt, and then get a golden parachute after the Board of Directors boots this clown after losing tens of thousands of loyal customers.Shame on Amazon for even agreeing to price the product like this. Amazon has control over the pricing practices of its suppliers. They could have told Unilever to take a hike with this new product. Instead, they have decided to also shaft its customers. I advise all Slimfast users to contact Unilever customer service and file a complaint for this change. You can call them at 800 754 6327 and choose option 0. Tell them that you want to file a Slimfast complaint. You can also send a message to comments at unilever dot com.

Great item, a bit misrepresented
I use it for breakfast and controlling cravings. Its convenient tasty and satisfying. But I seriously doubt it would curb hunger for 4 hours. 2 hours is probably typical. But still a great way to curb overeating and consuming exact target calories for the day. 2 stars off for claiming 4 hour hunger control.

Works well for awhile
I've not had Slimfast in many years, since it was still in cans. I bought this product more to use as a meal replacement than for weight loss. I found that the 4 hours of appetite suppression was a bit over generous. I am sure that has something to do with each person's metabolism. I am very active and athletic and it usually only makes me feel full for a couple hours. That said I find the taste pleasant. None of the shakes have the chalky taste I remember from the old cans I had before. I find the bottles small, easy to carry and require none of the work of mixing the powder. I've had the Milk Chocolate, Royal Chocolate, Strawberry and Cream and Vanilla and all were pretty good. I think variety is important to not grow sick of one single flavor. Like most any diet or protein shake, I found the chocolates to be the 'safest' tasting shakes, but all were good enough to break monotony.Even without the goal of losing any weight I found myself dropping several pounds when switching to this diet shake which leads me to believe there is plenty of potential to the diet if one's goal was weight loss. I would like to note that it is even more important to keep a good food journal if a person is trying to lose weight. I don't see Slimfast as a long term diet, but for losing a few pounds over a set amount of time could work. Really a long term lifestyle change including diet and physical training is the key to losing weight and keeping it off.
