20M WiFi Wireless Smart Phone Controlled Led Strip Light Kit with CE Listed Power Supply Waterproof SMD 5050 300leds RGB Music LED Light Strip Work with Android, iOS and Alexa(Black Band)

I cut these lights up to provide lighting under a desk and above the desk underneath a shelf, using various L and T shape connectors it was pretty straight forward to get up and running. Using the Magic home app made setting these up a breeze, it's a shame they're not compatible with a more universal application like Smart life.After about two months of use the lights started randomly turning off and back on about a minute later. The power supply was glowing red hot and had failed. I've replaced the power supply for a more premium version at a cost of £8.49 for a 12v 3a supply which is running much cooler and has kept the LED's going once more. The tape that secures the strips also isn't the greatest and I've had to put better double sided carpet tape in areas to keep it well attached.Note to manufacturer: Upgrade your power supply units and get better tape!UPDATE:The vendor reached out to me and was more than helpful in sending a complete replacement unit. Although the product has some quirks the vendor is extremely helpful if you have any issues with your product and I would highly recommend on the basis you may need to use additional securing tape when using long strips.

I'd have given these light 6 stars if I could. They cost a bit more that many rivals but when you get them you can see why. The lights are waterproof so have like a clear rubbery coating on then making them feel very durable when installing. There are more lights per metre than many I've seen and they are nice and bright. They have a black backing which is very unusual but was exactly what I needed as we're going on fairly dark blue walls. The sticky backing is VERY sticky and I'm sure they are going to stay in place. I wanted a run of almost 20 metres around the ceiling of my daughter’s bedroom. You get 2x 10m reels so just run one reel in one direction and the other reel in the opposite direction and then trim when they meet. Highly recommended.

Ok so, they are excellent lights....just dont cut them, unless its at an end point.Going round corners with these things is difficult if not impossible even with the special right angle connectors you can buy. You can make the joint, but it seems that if just the right amount of pressure is not applied then the resulting connection doesn't work nd only half your lights will come on.I found this out to my peril and had to buy a second set for my bar - tried everything even soldering the joints....that didn't end well either.The music function works well however the music will have to be on your phone in order for the lights to flash, streaming from amazon or spotify will not make the lights dance.There is a work round by using the MIC function where the apps listenes for the beat through your phones MIC but its not as good IMO

Worked great for about three weeks, then stopped working and have never worked since, kept away from water but never seemed water proof, wish I’d spent the money on something more reliable.

The media could not be loaded. Great product for the money. I opted for the not waterproof type as they are installed under my work units in the kitchen. Easy set up. Make sure surface is clean and grease free. Peel off backing a little at a time.Could have done with corner connectors. But I bought separately as I knew I'd need a two. Works on a set time controlled from app on smart phone or pad. Alexa voice activated. Superb.

Purchased these LED's for my garden wall. Physically installing the lights was easy although you will need to purchase extra items such as connectors. Once installed you need to download the Magic Home app which again is straight forward. Now this is where the whole product is let down by the shocking instructions and app. You need to connect your phone to the LED's via wifi. To do this is a nightmare and hardly ever works. Disconnect from your normal wifi and connect to the LED's it says. I have done this several times and have only ever managed once to be able to operate the lighting from the app. If the product had a good app and set of instructions then I would have no problem recommending them but at present I think there are much better systems out there.
