Was looking for a deeper Lenten resource than the little booklets my parish distributes. Had used other resources from Dr. Kruse in the past (for Advent & Christmas) so thought this might be a good fit with my desire. I was not disappointed. This has a scripture passage, a reflection from Sts. Franics &/or Clare, a prayer, and a "challenge item" for the day. Took me ~15 minutes to do each day and gave me a good spiritual focus for that day. A great Lenten companion!

Wonderful book! I bought three for my family and two for our family friends.

There is such beauty in their profound simplicity. I have grown closer to St. Francis and St. Clare since using this book. It has a writing by the Saint, a Gospel reading, and a reflection each day. It's a great little supplement to our Lenten readings.

We purchased four copies of this book as gifts for friends. They are all looking forward to using the book during the upcoming Lenten season. We had previously purchased a copy and used it during this past Lent. We found it extremely useful every day during lent. Using it was also a form of penance as it involved "doing something" rather than "giving up something."

This is a thoughtful and decidedly thought provoking lenten devotional book. It uses the writings of two saints to guide the day's readings. I would recommend.

Excellent daily meditations for Lent and Easter. Very good way to become familiar with the writings of Francis and Clare both for Secular Franciscans and for all Catholics!

This is a refreshing Lenten devotional in that it is not the run of the mill type I have seen available for so many years. I think it is the direct tie to St. Francis' and St. Clare's teachings. Franciscan spirituality is my favorite and I am very comfortable with St. Francis' look toward all of God's creatures.

So useful, my husband can't get to church, it gave him great satisfaction to use it.
